This comes with quart jars, but you can't actually can quarts in it because the pot is not deep enough to cover them with an inch of water on top the jars. I've used this for canning quarts several times this year and it works well for that on my flat top stove. Price point high for what you get, especially since the jars weren't useful to me, but I needed this size pot and rack so hopefully it will last for many years

Unfortunately, this one is going back. It comes with quart jars, but there is no room above the jar to add the water that is crucial in canning. If all you're using is pint and half-pint jars, then this will work for you. All they had to do was add 3" in height on the pot and it would have gotten a five-star rating. This is a catch and release for me.

This is a great product, as well as a comprehensive one. It literally has everything that you need to get started with canning your own products. Aside from canning food, I also use this product to sterilize my mason jars that I use to make tinctures and glycerites as well. The pot that it comes with is deep, and is able to hold several mason jars at once, which significantly cuts down on production time. It also comes with a rack, which ensures that your mason jars don't come in direct contact with the bottom of the pot. This is important when you want to avoid "cooking" your products. The tongs are the perfect length, and easily clasp onto the mason jars. As if that wasn't awesome enough, it also comes with a funnel, to neatly pour the contents into/out of your mason jars, as well as a tool to slide along side of the interior of the mason jars to remove any air that might be trapped inside. Truly, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

I can't lift anything heavy so I thought I was done canning, this was the right size I could lift the jars out and move the can with water in it to the sink! I got my canning back! Would buy it again.

This fall, we found ourselves with a huge excess of ripe tomatoes from our garden and no way to use them all before they'd go bad, so we decided to give canning a shot for the first time. We quickly found out why there are a number of specialty tools to make the process quicker, easier, and safer. That's where this set comes in - it has literally everything you will need to get started canning. The pot is a good size to fit on any stovetop and the tools are all of good quality. Be sure to watch one of the many "How To" videos online for beginners and you'll find the process much easier and more satisfying than you'd expect. We've been enjoying delicious canned tomatoes for months now thanks to our earlier efforts, and we love it!
