A simple yet highly effective training ring for those both in martial arts such as Wing Chun or even just to enjoy as a means to cross training. It especially useful for one's need to "bridge the gates" as it's called in martial arts and for forearm conditioning. For non-Wing Chun martial lineages one can go with a larger ring such as the 14 inch.A simple reed that has been dried, steamed and shaped to a circle, an ancient tool.

Unfortunately, I didn't do my research and realized my body size needed the 11"! LOL. Very good quality and strength for wood, not to mention the beautiful wood grain and staining! ...just needed a smaller one.FYY before buying....Research your size...it should measure from the wrist joint to your elbow joint (inner arm)

Wanted a larger ring and wooden for training forearms and more applications than my 9inch metal ring. Was a bit expensive for what it is, which is why I waited so long to get one.

This is nice and light, great to start out with.Also great quality, I have had this for sometime now before writing this review and its still in great shape.Anyone starting to learn Wing chun should get one, but its also go for training on the go or away from home, since most metal rattan rings are heavy.
