I purchased 10 of these. They are junk! I am expanding adding 12 more tanks decided to purchase these. I had 5 tanks up and ready all i needed was heaters. Put these in ran wires let set for about a hour before turning on. Set all at 82. Checked next morning not one wad even close to 82 degrees. These are the 100 watt in 20 gallon tanks. Four only heated to 74 the 5th 70 degrees. I then turned them up 2 degrees at a time until i had them set to max. Four made it to 78 at max setting the 5th only 74. I put them in ten gallon tanks to see if they would heat . I figured I'll just keep as backups. But they did the same!!!. These are p.o.s. Do not buy! Unless you want to kill off your fish!!

Got the 100w 2 pack because I wasn't sure how much heat I really needed. My tank is 110 gal, and it runs about 4 degrees F warmer than the room from pump and light heating effects. I wanted no more than just enough heat from a heater, because too much power will cause temperature swings and maybe overheating. THAT will kill fish. All of these heaters (all brands) respond very slowly to temperature change, and that's the reason for the majority of bad reviews all of the heaters get. If the heater has too much power for the size tank, it will over shoot the set temperature before it turns off. Generally recommended power ratings are too much, in my opinion, for an in-home acquarium. But if it is not running hot enough, you make a very small adjustment, and wait several hours before adjusting again. One 100w heater is making my tank 4 degrees warmer than before, which is what I wanted, and the set temperature on the dial is accurate. It is on more than half the time. I may need the second heater in the winter when the room is cooler. Two 100w heaters are better anyway than one 200w heater because more surface area to transfer the heat will minimize temperature swings.

These heaters seemed to get my 90 gallon turtle tank warm quickly. One of them lasted from october to march which is dissapointing though the other one is still going strong. I imagine you can get almost a years use out of them. Would have liked them to last a little longer, but they are thick well constructed heaters and i will probably purchase them again.

Packing on these heaters on outside is pretty good (wrapped in heavy layer of bubble wrap), however the inside of the box holding the actual heater allows for the heater the move around vertically. I ordered a two-pack of the 50W units and they both arrived with broken quartz glass. The bottom of both heaters were shattered. I knew something wasn't right when the package sounded like it was a lego toy when I picked it up.On the other hand, I ordered a two-pack of the 200W units and they arrived in great shape and they seem fairly reliable.Cons:* packaging holding the heaters is poor introducing risk you won't be able to use the heater when you get it.* temperature adjustment is difficult to determine which value you have it on.* power cord is fairly shortPros:* cheap* slender

This heater is great! I’ve had it for a little over 2 months now and I’ve had no issues at all, the only thing is that it was a bit big for my small tank, keep that in mind if you have a small tank. I initially had a 1.5 gallon tank but soon switched to a 5 gallon one to give my golfish more space and get a new fish. It’s working perfectly with the new tank and of course the heater fits better in there.

This heated up my 60 gallon tank quickly and it keeps it at the same temperature every day. I have it set to 80 degrees and my 2 thermometers (one at each side of the tank) both show 81.2 degrees which is fine by me. My house sometimes warms up to 76 during the day and cools down to 63 at night and this heater does just fine at making sure the water stays at 81 degrees.

Great products mine came broken however and they send me a replacement overnight. Great customer service. Only thing I have to add is if you are using this product to heat a reservoir or barrel or a bucket of water for gardening make sure you don't let the water level go below the "Minimum Fill line" while it is plugged in or it will burn the plastic suction cup and ruin your feeding solution or worse. Safety first 😉
