Great this is very nice a uv is a must in small pond, I use this to clear algae, and keep pond well mixed. Green pond can take about 4-5 days to clear up. Uv is the best so chemicals aren't needed. This is an inexpensive way to get uv. Replace bulb each year.

Update: Honestly was so happy with this pump until it quit working 3 days later.My pond has plants in it and I live in Florida where it's the perfect climate for algae. I have tried several different pumps, drain and clean my pond every other week and nothing has worked. I put the pump in last night and this morning my pond is crystal clear. I can actually see my fish swimming around!

Good sized pump. Nice flow. We didn’t realize that there are two parts that can be cleaned, the obvious one at the large intake area. Rinsed that once but flow was still diminished. Then discovered front cap ( under the fountain tube) can come off and the foam filter there can be rinsed. Flow is like new. We have to take pump out of pond to clean it. (Every few weeks).That could be a problem in larger ponds.

This is a poor quality product. It worked for about a week. The cover for the filter never felt securely attached but nevertheless it stayed on. A week in for whatever reason it just stopped working completely, even after keeping it well cleaned and maintained.Do yourself a favor a purchase a different brand for around the same price or $20 more.

I bought this pump/purifier for a 30 gallon fountain in my back yard. I made the mistake of not refilling with fresh water from last year. The water was very cloudy. After two weeks of running this unit for twelve hours a day, I could see the bottom of the fountain, about 18 inches deep. I have only cleaned the filter portion only once. The pump produces a very strong pressure. My only complaint is that the instructions are not very clear. There is no mention of the ceramic pellets or how to clean them. The attachments provide a variety of spray patterns. Excellent value for the price. Pump, UV purifier and filter all in one unit.

I just bought a house with a pond already installed. It wasn’t a deterrent to me that the pond was frog, algae and debris filled. I cleaned it out, bought a filter, added plants and fish but wasn’t seeing any positive results. Algae was always in bloom. Used more chemicals and barley than I liked but it wasn’t working. Realized I needed a better pump. One with a UV light. Within one week the algae was gone and I’m not cleaning the filter of sludge on a daily basis as I did w the original filter which did not have UV.My pond is in its original location and will be reworked soon enough. It has a small hole somewhere which is why the water level is so low and it could use more plants. But all in all. The fish and plants are happy, healthy and growing and I can finally see them. First two pics are day I installed the filter and last two are about a week later.

Installation of the fountain took literally 5 minutes. 2 days after installing this fountain I am totally impressed with how clean my pond is already. I couldn't even see the fish before but now I can see all the fish and the bottom. My pond is very small but I would bet this would work for larger ponds. Pictures show the 2 day difference. Can not beat the price!
