This is my fifth Curt Manufacturing Vehicle-Side Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness, Fits Select Toyota's. The time that I bought one was back in 1980 and each and every one from then have installed easily, and with no problems and has always worked!

Previous review was about receiving the wrong instructions for my application which led me to believe I was sent the wrong product however after finding the correct instructions on the sellers website I realized I had indeed been given the correct product and it’s fits and works great

Installing the module is the major hassle with this unit, its just a cheap plastic box with wires coming out of it, it says locate in a close environment area, so i'd guess its not waterproof or double molded like the Hopkins brand is! The double stick pad they supply is dried out, not sticky anymore! It is plug and play but the wires are short so routing is a issue. the picture of the module has a logo label on it, this doesnt look like that, still you can feel its thicker wires, and its rated for 8amps, the competitor Hopkins is only 3amps. overall I'm pleased, Amazons price is the best too!

Ordered For a 2003 Tacoma. Installed very easily. Worked great for 10 months then began shorting out the signal lights when the brake was applied. Eventually It began blowing Brake light fuses. I removed it from the vehicle to check for any corrosion or Wires rubbed through. All looks good. Internal short I guess.

perfect design, plenty of cable length, and just the right amount of extra bits like zip ties. I put the hub on the bumper bracket gusset where it overlaps the frame, and ran everything else alongside the taillight harness.

The product functions well after hookup. Plenty of extra lead to route the wires anywhere (and tie up the extra), except the main box (small as it is) almost doesn't have much extra lead wire to have free choice as to where to mount it (it mounts just as the wire loom is coming out of the driver's side lamp cavity.ONE COMPLAINT is that YOU have to devise a means to mount the trailer connection or just let it dangle in free air. I devised a series of zip ties hold it up from being snagged from road debris or whatever, ... yet when you separate the rubber protector from the trailer connection, it allows it to drop down 3-4" to allow handling and connection.
