A custom wiring harness -- also called a T-connector -- is a simple, plug-and-play electrical device that plugs into your automotive electric system and provides a standard, universal trailer wiring connection. This is done using two or more vehicle-specific, OEM-compatible connectors to plug into the taillight assembly, eliminating the need for cutting, splicing and soldering during installation. Custom wiring harnesses are made vehicle-specific, and while they are not available for all vehicles, they do offer one of the fastest, easiest and most secure ways to wire a vehicle for towing. Ok, if you’re not really mechanically/electrically inclined leave this to someone who is. It’s a great product. Works well. Not easy to install properly. I did it in about 4 hours and I am a custom car builder.

Got to love it when a plan comes together. Installation instructions were very clear and easy to follow. You will need to remove some plastic close-out panels from under the vehicle to make a clean installation, but this is a very easy task. Installation took about 2.5 hours to make it clean. The install has aged well over the past 12 months. Check out the videos from Curt about how to install and you will go into the job with lots of knowledge and confidenceP

Takes a lot of time to install. “Easy” but you have to run a power cable to the battery, so if you want it to look nice, you have to spend a lot of time removing/reinstalling trim. The actual wiring is easy

No funciona bien en el cx30 2021, las direccionales no funcionan bien pues enciende las dos luces al mismo tiempo, en ves de ser solo la izquierda también se prende la derecha y viceversa, en fin no se sabe para donde vas a girar, es una perdida de dinero, las estrellas que le pongo es por lo sencillo que es instalarse lo demás no sirve

As others have pointed out, when either turn signal is actuated both sides are flashing. This is on a 2023 Mazda CX-30. My work-around is to turn at least the parking lights on, (or more legally the headlights), which at least in my case keeps the indicators on dimly, but they will now flash correctly.

Onced installed when I turn my blinkers on taillights on both flash, reading on etrailer that it's because it's not compatible. Amazon won't refund unless sent back which I can't exactly send everything back. They suggested contacting Curt for a refund. Do not waste your money.

I did the install myself. The ease of plugging everything was top notch. I ran the left and right tail lights wiring behind the panels, then found a nice safe, out of the way, location to attach the converter. Running the power wire from the battery wasn't hard either. I don't think a professional installer could have done a better job. I even went 1 step further by adding a ON/OFF switch to the power wire and placed the switch in the dash for easy access. When I'm not towing, I kill the power going to the converter. Now I can tow without worry of getting a ticket for having no lights.

Ordered this and professionally installed. Brake light works, 4 way flashers work. Turn signal, power is sent to both turn signals thus giving a 4 way flasher again. Company sent out 2 replacements and same thing happened. Bad batch??? No idea. Company had no answers.
