This plug did what I needed to do. It plugged into the connector, on the wiring harness, properly. It works as it should. I wish the pig tail was a little longer. I removed a few wire ties to make the harness reach where I wanted to mount it. Also, the bracket is a little flimsy. Be careful plugging in and unplugging the trailer connector. But overall this works as it should and I would buy it again.

Easy to install, connectors fit perfectly. Looks great! I had to grind a slot on the old bracket on the truck as it was a different brand, and I used self tapping screws to secure. And don't forget to wrap a zip tie around the harness and truck connection plug, as the old plastic tabs on the truck side can break off.

Directly fit as a factory replacement. So easy. No issues. Now if actually have an additional 4 wire connection without having to keep an adapter in the door panel of my 3/4ton Ram.I gonna use the old one to power a trailer jack with a 20v battery, portable. That way I don't have e to back the truck up any time I want to adjust the jack.

Ok, so the reason I got this plug was because I was tired of climbing under my truck to plug in the 4 blade for my jetski trailer. I can say that this was the first plug I ever switched out and it plugged right into the stock plug that my truck came with and mounted into the same hole that the old 7 pin plug was in. Super easy to plug in my trailers now and a nice look.This replaced the stock plug on my '06 Ram 2500 4x4.

My 2008 Grand Cherokee Overland had the original Mopar p/n installed but it was cracked (by previous owner) so this Hopkins made a great upgrade. I especially appreciate the option of both flat and round connectors-- my little utility trailer has the flat mating connector and this is a nice upgrade, eliminating the pesky need for a blade-to-circular converter (which is never there when you need it and problematic in its own right). Tight fit over the original but I'm glad it worked out so well and I did not need to use the optional bracket.
