Main jet was in the emulsion tube so tight, that its emulsion tube came out, when trying to remove the jet & swap from #170 to #185 as the bike has aftermarket pipes. #45 idle jet already in it is fine. Only other thing would be to swap over an old emulsion tube. Shouldn’t have to do this.

honestly little skeptical but it all seems to work great. I had to swap over the top and bottom from my old carb to make it work for my setup (2002 Sportster 1200s) haven’t ridden it yet due to rain but runs good and seems to a be snappy response. definitely recommend just make sure you have your old carb to swap a few things if need be. used it with a fast idler adjustment screw and didn’t change any of the jetting.

I received the carb and pulled the bowl. I rejetted and set the float hight. (Float height was way off from factory) I Installed an easy idle air screw. Installed it on the bike and set the idle and my xl1200 runs great.

Reluctantly ordered this carburetor thinking it would be junk, quite the opposite! Unboxed it and installed the choke, had to change the top cover due to the choke holder built in to it and wouldn't allow my breather to go back on but was a very easy fix since I had the old carb, put everything back together and fired it up. Ran like a stripped ass ape out of the box! Only adjustment I made was for the idle. Saved me a ton compared to harley parts and got me back on the road quicker too.
