I love Darn Tough socks! These are definitely above the calf, even on my long legs (35" inseam)! They're great for cowboy boots.

Love these socks. I use them for skiing and they are the warmest ones I have had yet. Love the amount of padding on the bottom, so comfortable.

Wore these on a trip north of the arctic circle. My feet stayed warm and toasty for brief hikes outside and fit well inside my boot. Comfy and soft.

I have nothing bad to say about Darn Tough. If you’re looking for a MADE-IN-AMERICA brand (with an incredible warranty) look no further.I am a hunter, and wore these all season, in below-freezing temperatures, snow, and rain. I suggest layering them with another pair of thick socks (any kind).

I have the men's version. Have had them for years and love them. Very warm, thick enough, and durable. I bought a pair for my girlfriend and they're her new favorites. Darn Tough are darn tough.

I am 5'2" and about 112 lbs., show size 6.5, with skinny legs and calves, and while these socks are warm and durable as well as a nice color, they actually hurt to wear because they are extremely tight around the calves and are leaving big marks. I recommend them because they are super warm and incredibly thick, but absolutely size up.I love the color, more of a rich burgundy than a brown.

I bought a pair for a trip to CO. I wore them for 5 straight days because none of my other socks kept me warm. I was outside for most of each day and the average temp was about 15F. My feet were a little cool on a day where it was 2F, but they didn't feel cold or numb. I wore them with Columbia boots (bugaboot). They never felt wet, and they didn't smell even after a full day of snowboarding. It got up to ~30F and they didn't feel too hot. They did feel hot when I went walking around indoors, but I should have brought a lighter pair that day.
