This set is meant for a jewelry store, to show customers the cuts and stone sizes. There are a couple bands included, which represent the different metal types one could get, as well as a rubber ring sizer. Itâs not advertising a specific brand of cubic zirconia.Assuming $400 is within the normal price range for such an item, this one does seem well made. The wooden display box feels solid and well constructed with metal clasps for closure. The mounting cards are velveteen. Opening this case to reveal the sparkling synthetic stones makes for an impressive display. Itâs nice for customers to be able to clearly see what the size and shape of a stone will be..very straightforward. It has all of the stones depicted in the ad and they are sparkly in person. The kit is small enough to easily move around. It would work great for a travel display kit.I guess it could be used in hobby jewelry making, but you will need to provide your own mounts and metal (everything but the cubic zirconia). Youâll also obviously get only one stone of each size and cut, so your piece will need to be a solitaire or lopsided. These are mounted on cards and covered in plastic that could easily be removed if you are going to use these at home. Frankly, Iâd buy the stones loose if youâre plan is to use this in home hobby making.

This is an incredibly nice CZ collection, with all of the common and desirable cuts and a very nice range of karat sizes. Each piece is organized by cut, and size from smallest to largest within each cut. The wooden storage box is also a very nice piece for the collection. It's heavy duty, has two solid latches, and is easy to carry around like a book. My biggest complaint is it has the brand name blasted across it in massive lettering which is rather distracting. If that was removed, or at least a bit more discreet, this would be an absolutely perfect set. However, since that is just a surface issue and is my personal preference, I am not going to remove a star. Just be aware, they show the backside of the box in the listing which has no text on it, but the actual box itself has HUGE lettering on one side.

I ordered this because I make jewelry part time and it is hard to hold a stone up to a band or ring to see what size and cut would look best. I was shocked at how nice the quality was from the wooden box to the way the stones were presented! I thought the price was pretty high but it actually is not if you consider there are 88 stones in 8 different sizes and 11 different cuts. You and/or your customer can put the band on their finger and hold the heavy well made plastic strip with stones mounted moving it to be able to see the perfect size and cut. Making high end jewelry could be greatly sped up using this set of CZ's. The stones themselves are just beautiful. I can't even tell you how impressed and happy I am with this set. This will speed up my jewelry making greatly. Sometimes you really cannot tell what a stone will look like without holding it up and this makes it so much easier and faster. I am sure I will get a lot of use out of this set and just love it.

I'm learning to work with cut gemstones in jewelry-making, so this was a really cool item. They are beautifully cut and faceted stones, and will look great wrapped and set into jewelry.

This was a free product. However, I have no incentive to be biased towards or against this product.I absolutely love these Cubic Zirconium gems. There are 88 beautiful shiny gems. They are well organized and come with a chart that shows their shapes and sizes. The kit comes with five beautiful rings, which is a nice bonus, and a ring size ruler.The one downside is that this is supposed to be for a beginner jeweler. So, it would have been nice to include instructions on how to mount the gems on the included rings. For that reason, I gave it four stars.I don't know what the marketable value of each gem and ring is. Yet, I still say that these are worth getting and adding to your jeweler's kit.

I have never seen one of these before but knew I needed it for my future jewelry making.I was surprised when the package arrived. It was heavier than I expected but not too heavy that I could not carry it.Like a kid on Christmas day opening a present, I eagerly opened the packing box expecting the Cubic Zirconia stones would be in little plastic bags. But to my utter surprise was a beautiful wooden latched case. Its golden brown finish shined brilliantly and it is a strong wood.The wooden box of 9-1/2" x 13" x 1-7/8" inches was filled with beautiful Cubic Zirconia stones set in strips of 8 sizes in each hard high quality plastic cards. There are 11 different styles of stones listed on the card and in the included user guide.The way it works is that each card is set in a velvet soft framed inset that can be removed for use and then put back in the case.Between the cards and the user guide, they have the needed information of the names and carat size. All the information needed is there . It makes is really easy to read and work with.One may think this price is outrageous but it isn't. Think of it. 8 different size stones sizes: some start at .3ct or .4ct or .5ct up to 3ct, 4ct, 5ct, 6,ct or 8ct in .5ct increments makes it a lot of worth. An example would be the Round and Asscher cuts. While the Round cut is the most available they will still run up to $12.99 for high quality AAAAA stones. While the Asscher cuts, of the same high quality, from 3ct and up, can run as much as $95 for one stone. Of course, when buying in bulk prices go down and same with high quality ratings go down to AAA, still high quality, also will go down in price. Nonetheless, since the description did not mention how high the quality of these stones are, I will assume, by the price, they are AAA high quality.If I could give this a 10 star I would. I highly recommend this comparison case of CZ for all those whose intention is to make high end jewelry.
