Update: He can now do 30 minutes at a time at 1.4 miles per hour so we're down to one session per day; which I think he prefers as he was starting to walk away from me when I told him it was time to get on the "machine".===I have an overweight medium-sized dog, aussie/heeler mix. Though we watch his diet he keeps gaining weight. Vet is watching for thyroid issues but currently test are negative. We figured he just needed a little more walking but with our long winters and hot/humid summers, it makes it hard to get him outdoors for the necessary walking. We had a larger human sized treadmill last year that he hated. This one, he loves!I put on his vest and tap on the treadmill and he goes right up on it. Currently he does 3 sessions a day, 15 minutes each. The first time, we just did a quick 2 min test, and he wanted back on.It runs quiet. I love that I can see the calories he burns as well as the time he's been on.===Not for AdultsIt holds 220 pounds so my husband and I can get on it as well, but our walking strides are longer than the length of this little machine so though it advertises for both human and pet, we feel it's more for children and pets, not adults. We can do a gentle, slow pace no problems but when picking up speeds, that's where the stride issue comes in as does the ability to walk steadily, the bars are definitely too short for an adult... though we think this would be a good machine for kids during winter months.
