Missing parts on 1st order and 2nd order had extra parts but went on as instructed and fit great. Can't wait to see how it holds up on first trip.

Fit perfectly on 2017 equinox. The hardest part of the install was the threads on the frame were very rusty. Save yourself a lot of time and effort and buy a tap to clean the threads out. Once I cleaned the threads the rest was pretty easy.there was no place in the main frame to pull the bolt And washer thru so I just hooked the wire to the bolt and washer and pushed in the hole that is was supposed to go in.than pulled the bolt back thru by pulling on the wire.I installed it myself with the help of a floor jack.it took about an hour. Very well made.

Good stuff
Was easy to install, and works as it should.

Product worked great after I discovered what the problem was. During shipping, one end of the hitch had gotten bent in slightly, causing the hitch to not fit between the frame and bolt up. Product a 5... shipping a 2..

Exactly as described. Easy to install (should be a two person job). Once you start the set-up it is easy to complete. Price was awesome. You will save $$$$ if you do it yourself.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT! This hitch was a perfect fit for my 2013 Equinox. It looks well constructed and looks to have a very durable paint coating that will likely last longer than the car that it is attached to. It was quite heavy to lift into place when installing onto the car. The hitch came with all of the fasteners that I needed to install it. However, it seemed that the bolts provided with the hitch were too big for the weld-nuts on the vehicle, but they were not. The problem was, my Equinox was 10 years old already, and the weld-nuts that are part of the vehicle itself had a LOT of rust buildup on their threads. I had to purchase an M12 x 1.75 tap, to chase the threads in the weld-nuts, then the bolts fit perfectly, and I was able to fully torque the bolts to the spec's provided. I suggest testing the threads with one of the bolts (provided) BEFORE beginning your install, to see if you will need a tap. Also, some of the bolts/items needed to be "fished" through the the vehicle frame (fish-wire provided). Keep items separated on the fish-wire when pulling them through, to prevent/minimize hang-ups inside the frame. The skill level necessary for installation is maybe a little above average, but that is not due to a flaw in the product.

Ordered this item for my 2016 GMC Terrain. It went in perfectly and looks good -- the average person will need to have a mechanic install it if you don't have proper impact tools and jacking equipment. You will also need to purchase separately, the wiring harness for the type of trailer plug you're using (7 pole round, or 4-flat, or both) - and also the ball hitch for your size of trailer hitch - we got these from a local auto supply store.

Hitch fit very well and the instructions were clear and easy to understand. Manual said it was a half hour install but I'd dispute that. Installed it on my wife's 2006 Saturn Vue so you have to realize that this is an older car and not new. Four existing threaded holes in the car's frame had to be chased with an M12 tap to clear the crud out of the threads before it could be fully bolted up. To be expected I guess. Overall it looks good and functions good. Would recommend given the price.

I doubt we’ll ever tow a trailer with our ‘11 Chevy Equinox, but if the need arises I won’t hesitate. This was purchased to use with a bike rack and cargo rack. What the instructions don’t tell you is that you’ll want to “clean” the threads of the welded in nuts (in this case 6- 2 ea. side and 2 in the center) as dust & road grime will have accumulated. As seen in the photos I made my own Redneck Tap™️ by filing a small groove into the first few threads. I have a tap & die set but it’s Standard, not Metric, and the 6-welded in nuts are metric. No need to buy a tap I’ll use once (they aren’t cheap!) when you just need to clean existing threads, not cut new ones. A small triangular file works a treat, 2-minutes and it’s ready to go. The “cut” threads are well beyond where the nut is so I’m not at all worried about compromising strength. The spring wire hack is bloody brilliant, whomever came up with that, kudos to you! I wouldn’t say this is a one person job, too much fiddling with the two loose carriage bolts to line up plus the other holes. I had my sons help me and not only was it an easy job, but we shared some good laughs all the while. Be advised- pulling 92ft/lbs isn’t for the faint of heart, but don’t cut corners when it comes to torquing any/all of these bolts to spec (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!) because failing to do so can and will lead to fastener failure and the hitch coming loose, along with whatever you have hitched to it.Packaging is my only complaint, in that the box was a bit worse for wear and a couple spots showed paint loss. Not a huge deal, but those will rust sooner than the rest of the hitch, and depending on your location that could be an issue sooner than expected. Some added packaging in & around the hitch in the box would easily solve this issue, especially as the hitch isn’t terribly heavy. Not enough of an issue to warrant the loss of a star rating, but something the manufacturer/retailer could improve on.Overall- 10 out of 10 would buy again.

Very easy if you're good with tools and your hands. I'm in the automotive industry professionally (no longer a technician) and found this kit intuitive and simple to install with an assistant. The provided materials are great, the fishing tools are super cool. If you're not very experienced with cars, you might have a bit more difficulty. The instructions are rather sub par in my opinion. Just thread your fishing tool onto the bolts, insert bolts into body, thread the steel plates onto the fishing tool, slip the plates into the body plates, then gently tug and wiggle the fishing tool until the carriage bolts drop back into place. I had all 4 set into position, then had an assistant help lift the hitch up and we both threaded the fishing tools through the holes while we lifted. Keep those fishing tools installed until you have a nut on the bolt, you'll regret it if you lose on of these bolts in the body.I would agree with the reviews recommending a tap and die set. I spent most of my install time fighting rusty bolt holes on the installation vehicle. Not to the fault of this hitch at all. I used Deep Creep and just ran the bolts in and out until they would fully seat. You can't get an impact in there because the holes are too high up. An impact probably would have ruined something, the threaded inserts on the vehicle were unbelievably rusted and tough to get a bolt through. Can confirm it fits a 2016 Chevy Equinox easily and without modification. We didn't put the plastic hitch cover back on, there's really no point in my opinion. It would be very difficult to get that plastic cover back off if you install it because the crossmember of the hitch will be right on the way.Would purchase again.

Nice big, thick cardboard box so no damage. Very easy to install. Has instructions. Did it on my own. Fit was perfect. Lots of extra nuts bolts and washers for the different possibilities for attaching to you vehicle. My first instal and was easy. Guessing I saved $200 doing it myself. Looks good
