The examination of the urine of small animals / pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc.) can provide information leading to the diagnosis of disorders and diseases of the urinary tract. After dipping the strip in urine specimen, wait for appropriate time. HEALTH MATE can be used manually via color chart on the bottle.

i use these mostly to track my cats ph because he had a history of crystals prior to adoption, its really helpful to make sure he is in good health.

Update: Received a call from my vet with my cats urinalysis they conducted. While his PH is high and he has some crystals, we had discussed the strip test results when I was there. I told her how the Leukocytes turned purple immediately, she informed me today that the Leukocytes were completely normal! Therefore the reliability of these test strips is pretty low. Do yourself a favor, pay $42 to Affordable Pet Labs, they send a kit and will test the urine professionally. That is reliable, not strips, at least not these!I got these because one of my two cats urinated on the floor which they never do. My vet wouldn’t just test a urine sample without seeing them and I was hesitant without knowing which one it was. So I bought these strips and tested my boy, the Leukocytes turned purple immediately, the protein was green, Ph was green, and SG Densidad was a light green, these were way off the normal range. When I saw this I scheduled an appointment with the vet. I tested his urine again later in the day and the results were the same. When my girl urinated early evening, I was able to test hers. To my surprise the results were literally identical! The Leukocytes turned purple immediately just like my boys. All other colors were exactly the same, no variation in color AT ALL! How is that possible, it’s either a crazy coincidence or these strips are BS. I tend to lean towards the latter. If one or any of the colors were slightly different then I’d think “maybe” it’s correct but none, even the negative ones are exactly the same! Since I now have to take my boy tomorrow, they’ll do a real test and I’ll see what the actual results are. Neither one are acting different, both playing and eating, but urinating on the floor is usually a sign of a UTI, so I need to make sure both are ok. This was not the way!

I purchased these because my dog had surgery to remove 35 bladder stones. They were the kind caused by repeated bladder infections. Most of the time we are unaware our dog is sick until the infection is really bad, hence the bladder stones. I check the dogs urine weekly and these have been a life saver. These strips have caught two bladder infections in the early stages so far. It saves me money because I can do it myself at home and let the vet know the results. It saves the dog the trauma of going back and forth to the vet every week and it gives me peace of mind that the dog is doing well. Easy to use and 100% recommend!

Our cat is diabetic, and we use these strips, along with the Smart Litter Box, to catch her urine and test it daily. It took us a while to get her to the right dosage of insulin, but these strips give a clear picture of how we are doing, and how her medication level is doing. I did not rate thickness or easy to clean as that would be silly. however, they are good value for the money. A test at the vets to do the same thing costs us $85.00 for the exam and another $65.00 for the test. Much cheaper this way with a supplemental visit every 6 months or so.

These are reagent strips for cats and dogs that diagnose many illnesses that show up in urine. The price is great and the shipping very fast. The quality of these strips is fine for any vet clinic or lab. Great for home use for a diabetic pet.

If you have the extraordinary skill of extracting urine from your cat's bladder (my vet gave me a plastic syringe) then these are useful. Results helpful and correct. In my case, my cat mauled me when I tried to get some urine to test, and my roommate thought I was murdering my cat regarding all the sounds she heard when I was working on this.

I have three pugs and it seems like at least one of them always has something going on health-wise. Right now all three of them have an issue. My Grandma dog has a bladder infection, my Mama dog has a severe allergy to something and is constantly scooting and scratching, and my baby dog just had eye surgery. We have pet insurance but it doesn't cover the exam fee, so I bought these test strips to reduce the need to go to the vet. I confirmed with no issue that my Grandma dog does have an infection and I have started her on cranberry supplements as well as vitamin c and other natural treatments and she has a vet appointment tomorrow. At her appointment, I can skip paying for a urine test as I already have one and that will save me about 50$. Great product.

While this product can produce some false positives, overall its helped us catch our dogs UTIs much faster then ever before. Our pups is simply prone to easy UTIs despite cranberry supplements which help, but still she gets 4 or so a year. At the very first sign of her acting a bit weird with her urination habits I tested her urine and sure enough her white blood cell count was already showing signs if infection. By the time she got into the first vet opening a few days later she had a full blown uti, but it was nice to know we were able to get her in that much quicker due to the testo g ability of these strips. Highly recommend!

So far so good. I tested both my cats. I basically just lifted their tails while they were peeing and stuck the strip underneath midstream between their genitals area and the litter. My one cat showed negative for UTI in blood my other cat may have one so will need to get meds for her but going to retest them both just in case.

My Elderbull is getting older, and with that comes certain sensitivities. I haven’t taught him to talk yet, so he can’t say, “Maaaa, it stings!” Enter these amazing little sticks. Has caught infections twice. The first time it was (yikes!) e.coli. Round 1 of antibiotic didn’t knock it out, so the vet had to put him on the much stronger, but super effective, Baytril. And that is a really good example of why having 50 sticks is so helpful: I was able to test him every day and watch the colors slowly change. Of course, the vet will recheck when the meds run out, but I was very antsy about the whole situation. It helped to have something to look at.At first I thought I didn’t need so many sticks, but I did. And you do, too. It’s a great confirmation on your gut feeling. Or even just for a weekly check-in.In Tiggy’s case, the symptoms that made me order these testing sticks were: very pungent smelling urine, dribbling urine in bed, and occasional licking - these were not normal for him. And I only include it to maybe help another furry friend. The test showed extremely high leucocytes and high blood, if you’re curious.I’ll also drop a couple collection tips. I happened to have little glass mason jars. So I’d put the cap of the jar in my pocket with some pre-opened poo bags. Also had a disposable glove on my hand, because if you think humans have poor aim...Follow the dipping directions, wait 60 seconds then another 30 seconds, taking photos at the intervals with the stick next to chart. (See photos.) My advice is to have your little lab set up before collection, e.g. plastic or paper towels to place the wet stick.Good luck, everyone!

Strips work good and seem to be accurate. Watch who you're ordering from though. It seems as though Amazon's preferred provider is out of the U.K. What normally took 2-3 days to get, is now taking 20-30. For that reason I would go with a different brand.
