I needed it to provide tension to radio antenna wires going vertically. It's pretty stretchy, quite visible as it's orange, and is suitable for my needs.

I ordered the 4mm Orange bungee cord. I replaced it for the old black bungee that was on my kayak, and I love it! It fits perfectly in the hooks and I ordered some little double clamps for the ends.

Finally!!!! This 5mm is the right diameter for my kayak bungee project. For those of you that were buying bungees and sending back because the diameter was way smaller or larger than needed this 5mm kayak cord is perfect for the original loops of my hydros kayak. Soooo happy with the quality, color and diameter!!!!!

The product I got is not labeled 5/16". It is labeled 8 mm (.315" diameter). While that is very close to 5/16 (.312), the cor I got measured greater than 8.5mm (.335), which means that it is too big for the hooks I planned on using it with. I found a four slightly larger hooks I can barely feed it through and formed two short cords. But now I have no way to use the rest of the cord, until I obtain more of the larger cords. And I am concerned because the cord VERY stiff. Iorry that it will break prematurely in my outdoor application. The sun and rain attacks bungee cords very quickly.The color was as advertised.
