I use in wire wrapping. Making my earring wires etc. think practice will help.. but don’t think I would buy them again

I bought this as a gift because I love mine. I can make perfect eyes every time. It leaves to tooling marks. This was my first looping pliers many years ago and I still use it. Great product.

The groovy looper has been my favorite tool ever. The one every jewelry maker needs to own, I have found so many uses for it beyond just looping I now own three pair because when you love something you need more than one.

This is my 2nd pair, so now I'll have one for each bench in my jewelry room. These are the absolute best and I won't be buying any other brand. Try them, you'll love them, and you'll throw away all of the cheaply made pliers you have bought before.

I more than merely like it, but I'm not fully proficient at using it yet. The grooves seem deep enough to me. I'm glad I bought it and use it regularly.

I was taking a jewelry making class where we were using these and I found it to be extremely handy. I couldn't find it in any of our local stores. Even with shipping it was an extremely reasonable price. Very pleased with my purchase. Others in the class said they were going to purchase, or that my price had beat their's for the very same product.

I agree with the one other reviewer here who also believes the grooves on the flat nose side of the pliers are not deep enough. I've tried them several times now and found myself having to go slowly and half the time, my wire wouldn't be in the groove so I had to make an adjustment. I found it easier to just mark my round nose pliers. It goes far more quickly for me and my loops are very consistent.

The tool allows me to grab the wire firmly without marring the surface. But, the grooves weren't as helpful as I had hoped. Look closely at the picture of the pliers. Notice how shallow the grooves are? It is very difficult to tell by feel when the wire is in the slot or if it's straddling it. So that I can better tell, I marked the sides and top when a black marker - with an added advantage that I helped me to wrap the round side and not the flat one. Then, I realized that I can 'calibrate' any round nose plier by inserting a loop or jump ring on the tip and marking that location on any needle nose plier and accomplish the same thing. So, I rated these as 4 stars - they are good pliers but the groove isn't deep enough to do by feel and the same results can be achieved with ordinary pliers.
