This suitcase is seriously impressive! It feels really well built—super sturdy with smooth-rolling wheels—and I love the color! The front-opening design is a total bonus for quick access, and the expandable space is perfect for longer trips. Feels like it’s going to last for years.

Firstly, I just want to say that this is a fantastic design! It’s top loading and I love that for two reasons over traditional bi-folding shells: they are so much easier to open to gain access for an item packed deep within or during security checks and screenings at the airport without everything falling out, and I simply can pack more in this top loading carry on, especially using packing cubes! This AJI carry-on (22x14x9 inch) is perfect for travelling in Europe, ensures I don’t over pack and light enough to handle cobblestone streets and terrain….as well as getting on and off high speed trains! Absolutely the way to go in Venice, Rome, and the Amalfi coast area!It really has every feature I was looking for:1. Good size for easy transport on aircraft (ensures nothing can be lost unlike checked baggage). Also will fit the small cars in Europe -car trunks are small there!2. Protected lap top case (easy to access anywhere)3. Top loading4. Looks attractive and sleek5. Clothing tie downs6. Inner zippered compartments7. Dual wheel spinners (360 degree movement)8. Expendable (perfect for adding items while touring or adding a bottle of wine!9. Locking outer zippers (important for high speed train security in Europe)10. 4 position handle for giving extra height to attach a backpack or additional bag11. Side handle/top handle and side floor bumpers (again…easy to stow on trains in Europe)12. Durable, scratch and stress resistant outer shell material. Bedbug safe - unlike fabric shells!I’m so happy with this AJI luggage. Its just got such good features and looks very attractive for luggage! I’ve been to Italy 3 times now for road trips and cruises…and we’re planning to return again shortly. By far this is the perfect luggage for that! I will never ever go back to luggage that opens in the middle or too large…forget that! 100% happy with this AJI luggage! Brilliant!

This Aji carry-on suitcase has quickly become my go-to for weekend getaways and shorter trips. I was initially drawn to the blueberry blue color, it’s a nice change from the usual black or silver, and the front-opening design seemed like a clever idea. The front compartment is genuinely useful, perfect for keeping things I need quick access to like my laptop and toiletries separate from the main packing area. It's much more convenient than digging through everything in the main compartment.

Seriously, think about how many times you're packing and you've got one side that's lumpy and heavy and then the other side, and if you need to get at something you better already know where you packed it or you will have to tear everything apart digging for it?I like this because I can use it as a carry-on that I don't have to keep sealed until reaching my destination. I can store things I'll need on the plane inside, and have easy access to it. For example, the top opens kind of like a pizza box, so I could toss in my laptop or tablet (or the kids' tablets) in the sleeve on the 'boxtop' and stuff as many clothes and stuff into the actual suitcase - and sit on *that* part of it to squish it down even more without sitting on and potentially breaking my devices. There are adjustable straps connecting the 'lid' to the rest of the suitcase, so you can have it open like a jewelry box to stay open as you pack. It's significantly lighter than our fabric suitcases of the same size, and I feel like somehow the interior is roomier, though that may be an artifact of its unique design. Also, it's much firmer than our other "hard-sided" carry-ons. It will offer a lot of protection.Another benefit to the inner sleeve is that there's extra protection. If your bag tips over or if you check it and it gets tossed around, the hard siding (which is really sturdy, BTW) will protect it from taking a beating. My recommendation is to start with the bag expanded, fill it up, close it, and then zip the expansion closed. The zipper and the pulls can handle it. Speaking of the pulls, they're curved which would be perfect for ergonomically and comfortably pulling the zipper, but that's interrupted by the 'foot' at the end of the pull. It's actually a security thing, as that's the part that pushes into the built-in TSA lock. That's literally the only complaint I have about it. I still haven't decided whether this will be for me or for one of my kids, but can I be real a second (for just a millisecond), let down my guard and tell the people how I feel a second? The kids aren't going to be excited about this cool suitcase, its durability, its security features, or even its color. Me, though? I get a boost of dopamine every time I look at it, which can only help when dealing with travel and airports.
