Item lights up pages fairly well, not great for at the beginning of books and becomes quite uncomfortable to hold after a while. I was upset to find the acrylic sheet that is used to light the pages scratched when I received it. Would better off buying a light that clips onto the book itself, but it does the job.

I’d give this zero stars if I could. Flat out doesn’t work. It took a few shakes to even get it to blow, then turned the page of my book and it never cane on again after that. These were brand new batteries as well. Complete waste of money.

I hate having the big light on to read. It hurts my eyes, gives me a headache, which makes reading terrible. This is perfect for those wanting to read at night. It's not too bright that it gives you a headache. Love it.
