Seems like it'll work fine. I don't have an airline tray to test it out with just yet however hanging it in the garage it's very sturdy. The velcro foot pad part has what I'll assume is hard plastic and doesn't bend easily. Rolls up tight and stores in the carrying bag to about the size of a larger water bottle. Easily fit in the water bottle slot on your backpack. Setup/assembly is easy and straight forward. True test will be when it's used on an airplane if they'll allow it. I don't see that being a problem, normally I rest my feet on my "slightly" oversized "personal" item.

I was a bit skeptical about the item, but it works as advertised, though I wasn't able to test it on a plane, yet, so I just hooked it behind me against my hips. It's sturdy and supportive, as long as the velcro is properly aligned; improperly aligned, the top piece may slide off. The nylon is also tightly woven. I think there are some minor concerns around the stitching coming apart if someone were to put excessive force on it vs lightly resting/idle swinging. On the topic of machine washable, I think I'd probably just spray it with an antibacterial spray than machine wash, especially the inner layer, if it really is bamboo, as that'd swell in water. The next time I have a flight, though, this is the one I'd be bringing to try out.

So we will be taking an international trip come July and I can never just have my legs sitting bent or crossed like a normal person. I personally prefer criss cross applesauce, however, anyone who has ridden a plane (and is not rich), knows that's not usually an option. So in comes the foot hammock. Its surprisingly sturdy and the middle attachment that velcros on adds some nice cushion. The strap is adjustable so you can leave it as long or short as you desire. I also love that it came with a nice carrying case and rolls up nicely to fit compactly for travel. Overall, I believe this will make my flight much more enjoyable so I can have my legs up and stretch out more in the limited space. I will also be ordering one for my daughter to use.

I already have one of these airplane footrests, and I love it! The flat bottom and sturdy support are exactly what I wanted. I used it on a long international flight, and it really helped me relax my legs and took pressure off my sore knees. I highly recommend it—hoping this one is just as great!

This is a pretty neat little gadget for propping up your legs on a plane. It actually helps when you're stuck in those tight seats for hours—lets you adjust the height just right to take some pressure off your legs or feet. Smart design!

This airplane footrest is the best! So comfortable. The sturdy bottom means I can put one foot up without it cramming my feet together.

The bamboo base is solid and keeps my feet from getting squished together. It’s also adjustable, so I can get my legs comfy no matter how I’m sitting. Best part? It folds up nice and small, so it doesn’t hog space in my bag. And when I took it out, it was super easy to pack back up in the case

This footrest has a nice thick cushion - really soft and comfortable. It's well-made with sturdy materials and strong stitching all around. The padding uses memory foam, and it's designed like a relaxing hammock with a firm base underneath. That way your feet stay supported without sinking together.
