I ordered the product not knowing if this was the correct part or not. It was the right part and it fixed my recliner!

Ordered this shock to see if it worked on my Quickie QM-710 wheelchair. Was a little longer then the original part and had to drill the hole to a little bit bigger size. Finally got it installed with only the 1 modification and seems to be working fine. Saved a lot of money not having to buy the one from a medical supply place and I do mean a lot. Will purchase again if needed.

I replaced a 20020060 gas cylinder with this model. The dimensions were spot on. I also upgraded from a 600N part and I was glad I did. Just had it a short time. So far very happy.

Looked high and low for a replacement of VERIN CH-9442 for a chair. The '9442 were 600N of force - we opted for 800N and glad we did - the movement is marginally stiffer but hopefully longer lasting seeing it is considerably lighter weight than the 9442.The picture shows the Vari-Tilt (lower) vs the 9442 (upper. The biggest issue is the relief valve is on the shaft where the 9442 is on the body. This may be a problem for some but the clevis was long enough to where it di not bind.Measurements not shown in picture:Shaft M10x1 threadClevis - M8Travel ~about 50-60mm (didn't measure)

Item is excellent. Only wish the suppliers would post complete dimensions. I had to build some links to make it fit, but was a minor thing.

After a very long exhaustive search I finally found this item, was shipped to my home and installed the next day...works better than the old one (leaked)!

Replaced an "MDI 06ea" gas strut on a recliner chair for a dear friend. This vari-tilt is a bit strong, I'd go for the 600n.ALSO, I needed to modify the threads-The 800n comes with M10 x1.0mm fine thread pitch. Its also a fair bit longer at its extension length and is a PAIN to get back to its normal resting length for the chair. you need a big vice or press to compress the strut, while also holding down the release on the gas strut. I'd use the bracket to help out.The recliner's bracket and the strut that came off the chair was m9 x 1.0mm.Instead of drilling and tapping the bracket for M10 x 1.0 ( i didn't have that tap size handy anyway, ha ha, you probably won't either)I ended up re-dieing the 800n's strut threads a couple times with various M10 sizes (1.25, 1.5, etc) until it was "turned down"(if you have a mill or lathe you could do that instead) enough that I could fit an M9x1.0 die over the strut rod.Now the chair strut release button at the top is so strong the handle on the side of the recliner might be stressed a but too much. Its hard to tell where you can get replacement parts for your furniture. Such a throw away society these days its horrible.....
