I bought this as an extra power cord for my Dell Inspiron 16 laptop. It works perfectly! It does not get hot (even though there is a warning on the transformer saying that it might) and it charges and powers my laptop just like the original cord. The cord seems to be about the same length as the original and comes with a velcro wrap to keep it neat. Highly recommend this cord!

Build quality feels okay but not premium. The plastic housing is solid enough but lighter than the original charger. The LED indicator works to show when it's plugged in and charging. The connector fits snugly into the laptop port without wiggling around.Installation is just plug and play. No drivers needed - just connected it and started charging right away. The adapter doesn't get too hot during use, which was a concern with some cheaper replacements I've tried before. The price point is reasonable for a replacement charger. Way cheaper than buying a genuine one but still gets the job done. It's handled daily use for several months without any major issues. The cord feels a bit thinner than the original and I worry about it lasting long term with regular unplugging and moving around. The adapter works fine but sometimes takes longer to start charging than the original did.Missing star: The build quality doesn't quite match genuine chargers and the charging can be inconsistent at times. Also, the cord feels less durable than what came with the laptop originally, so I'm not sure how long it will hold up with regular use.

This replacement charger for my Dell Inspiron 7300 2n1 laptop does charge the laptop, maybe a little slower than the original, but it gets very hot! Before my original charger was damaged, the laptop would get very warm during charging, but it actually gets almost too hot to touch when this one is charging it.The laptop hasn't given any high temp warnings and I don't know whether it may be damaging to the battery long term. But it does charge, so 4 stars.

I needed an extra charger for my laptop because I kept leaving mine at work. This works great with the Dell Inspiron 16. Exactly like the original the computer came with. Great value, for the comfort it brings in having multiple chargers. Charges up my computer just as fast as the original.

It supports different power ranges dependent upon what the device it's powering will draw. For example an amplifier I'm using can operate at 9v, 12v, or higher. Volume is dependent upon power usage.I'm using it to power an amplifier (class D) with a Raspberry Pi with DAC as a hat. Internet radio for free! ( You'd need an app. I use Volumio which is excellent). It's maybe 20 watts, but very good clarity. It's a very small setup and all that I needed was regular speaker wire attachments to Klipsch speakers. Sensitivity is high so it's apparent volume is plenty, even for my living room.I have not used this with a laptop or monitor. This was strictly used for power to an amplifier because it fits the voltage, amperage, and tip requirements. But I've had absolutely no problems.

My backup laptop, the Dell Inspiron 3793, decided to throw a little tech tantrum. The battery went rogue and refused to hold a charge, and the AC adapter wasn’t exactly pulling its weight either. Now, an electrical genius I am not—but I do have access to YouTube and an unhealthy amount of curiosity.Swapping the battery turned out to be way easier than I expected, but the laptop still stubbornly insisted on shutting down if it wasn’t plugged in or if I so much as sneezed near it. My detective instincts kicked in, and I made a bold move: I swapped out the AC adapter. And voilà—magic happened! The new battery started charging, and the laptop is now bump-proof (well, within reason).Moral of the story? Don’t be afraid to tackle your own tech troubles—you might surprise yourself!
