I bought the HARDY Ultralite for my son who lives in Montana. He was thrilled when he got this reel in the mail. Gotta love Amazon. So easy to send gifts. Now maybe my boy will text more pics of my grand kids, and a new one on the way!

I purchased this reel 7/8 size for a first 7 day trip to Alaska fishing for Silver Salmon. The reel functioned flawless! The entire area was a gray silt/sand so every time I set the rod down it filled with sand. A quick dip in the water and it was smooth as silk again. All sealed bearings quick and easy drag adjust, I can't say enough good about this reel. I have caught over 100 Silvers with this reel and no issues.P.S. Note the previous 1 star review that they guy thought he was getting a spare spool. It says Reel "or" Spool. You need to buy a 2nd spool separate if you want one, it is not included.
