This product is similar to the Hayward brand that I had been using. I think this will perform better because the handle is part of the molded plastic canister on this unit, whereas the Hayward unit attached the handle with some sort of cement that eventually failed. This is otherwise almost identical to Hayward’s unit and it was priced better too.

Very satisfied with purchase. Contrary to other reviews, the lid is not at all difficult to unscrew. It does not need to be overtightened as the seal does the job with no need to over tighten the top.

THis is a bit heavier than the Hayward unit I had previously, so I will assume it's built to last. TIme will tell. It operates great and was a plug and play replacement

This is a sturdy leaf canister, and my favorite feature of it is that it is clear, making it easier to see when it is full. All of the other leaf canisters I’ve had were frosted, so I couldn’t see when they were full.
