I gave this pen to my husband because he is into this kind of stuff. Upon opening we were very happy with the look of the box it comes in. The feathered pen comes with 6 tips for different types of calligraphy writing.NOTE: The ink bottle doesn't actually have ink in it, you have to get your own.

This is certainly a beautiful quill pen that comes with a matching holder. It comes with an ink bottle, but no actual ink, so if you're giving this as a gift, you may want to include a bottle of ink with it. You also get a total of six nibs of various sizes. The one installed on the pen has the finest point and is my favorite, but the three widest tips are probably ones I'll never use. I do wish they would not have put the sticker on the ink bottle that says, "The ink." I think it cheapens the overall look of the set. From my point of view, this set is more of a novelty set than one for practical use. I have other quill pens and the nibs are longer and finer than there are. For a novice who wants to try a pen like this to see if they like it, this set is a good value for that, or for doing ink drawings where the wider nibs might find a more practical purpose. The shaft of the pen is very slender which might make it difficult for some to keep ahold of, but it's very lightweight so you are less likely to get hand fatigue from the weight of the pen. If you really like the particular look, you can easily select different nibs to use with it, since any standard-sized nib should be compatible. Overall, it's a nice-looking set, but you won't be able to use it right out of the box unless you already have ink!

I bought this for my grandson and he absolutely loved it! He is drawing and writing in a journal and it is perfect for him.
