It works exactly as we need it to. My nephew tries to slip out the door and we flip this and no worries. Once it's in place, nobody is getting in or out, so it makes a great security ad on when at home as well. Definitely recommend for all doors in the house.

We installed this because our toddler can now reach and open doors. This definitely works. It comes with everything that you need only difference we made was get longer screws to help reinforce it. Does the job. All of the adults tried to open it from the outside without breaking the door (lol) and it worked. Feels safer.

Update: installed, works as expected, I would recommend.I just received this and wanted to take a good look before install. You can see from the pictures that the screws provided are (4) 2- inch screws and (4) 1- inch screws. To me the metal feels pretty solid, but I'm not a metal worker-- it doesn't feel like aluminum, it feels like steel.I only bought this because my master bedroom doesn't have a lock and I don't want to install something that one of my kids can play with and lock themselves in or out. This is the best option, in my opinion, for privacy while in my bedroom that my kids can't touch since I'll install it above the toddler's reach. Since I don't need it for security, I'll probably just use the provided hardware.If you want better security, I recommend buying 3- inch screws.
