This did not fit the factory plug. Had to be shaved down and once plugged in would not allow driver side tail light to function.

This product was bad out of the box. It had sat in my garage for a few months before I installed it so Hopkins would not warranty the item because it was over 3 months old.Go with the Tekonsha unit instead of the Hopkins.

I needed this to replace the factory or port installed trailer wiring on my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. It had long ago corroded into nothingness. Once you get the trim removed, the installation is super easy. Plugs snap inline with the factory wiring and tap the signals for the lights. Hardest part is fishing the wire through a grommet to reach under the vehicle. I couldn't be more pleased with this solution.

I installed my own hitch and harness on my 94 land cruiser. This was a very very simple installation and I am only moderately mechanical. So don't freak out and think you cant do this. Its gonna be easy.... trust me.....No really. You wont regret ordering this. It works great and you will install it in a few minutes.

A well-made product which out-performs the factory-specified harness. Higher quality fittings that plug right into the Toyota stock wiring plugs. It took me all of 30 minutes from start to finish, including unscrewing a chrome strip that runs across my 97 Toyota Land Cruiser to run a wire to the left side of the car. Zero guesswork needed, but some agility is definitely required to unplug the exisiting harness, plug in the new trailer harness, and replug in the car's wiring harness. The service ordering the part was faster than advertised or expected.
