My husband and my son managed to catch a few rainbows through the ice with this pole. It is the perfect little 2 pc combination. Prior to ice fishing coming in, they are able to fish for this is a perfect to fish for some sheephead, trout, and bass. All together, it was very easy to setup. It took my husband about 5 minutes to get it all together. Overall, the price is unbeatable. It's very affordable and we will definitely be ordering more of these. I highly recommend.

Nice little fiberglass rod. The spool on the reel holds a lot of line (they say 290 yards of 4# test and they include a spool of 150 yards), and I would not spool it fully. The bail can be a bit hard to flip simply by reeling but you can easily just flip it by hand. It is a good little rod for ice jigs and has a comfortable grip (although you would most likely be wearing gloves). I think the price point is right in line with this type and quality of rod. Good for a beginner or a seasoned ice fisher.

This is a fun little rod and reel. it does not have to just be used for ice fishing. it can be used anywhere anytime, Great for kids or beginning fisherman. perfect for perch fishing off a dock
