This seat performs really well. It has a nice covering and does not feel plasticky in any way. It has adjustable chamber height and softness for hardness depending on how much you inflate it, you pump it up by pressing up and down around the black valve. It deflates really easy compared to other products and you can roll it up to make it smaller for easy of travel. It just fits in a comfort plus seat on an airplane. Ample room in first class. I did not try it in a regular economy seat. Makes a huge difference in sitting fatigue on longer flights. At home I tried it on the couch (softer surface) and in an office chair. So comfortable I forgot I was sitting on it. Works really well

This is much more comfortable than I expected and has made sitting for extended periods of time much less painful. I have to sit for 8-10 hours at a time when doing my school work or working, so this is a big help.My only real gripe is that pumping it up is really difficult for me and hurts my hands, as I have mild carpal tunnel. It takes a bit too long to get to the desired firmness. I also wish it came with a cover of some kind, as the crevices catch any and every crumb I drop on my chair, I'd definitely pay for that. But, overall, this is a solid product.

Please note who this HamRoRung Inflatable Seat Cushion may be best for. It is not likely going to be the best option for someone who is disabled, elderly, who has arthritis, or who has pain in or difficulty with their hands, or spine.A portion of the product description is clearly false, as this in no way took 20 seconds to manually inflate. That would be completely impossible to do with this design. It took a full 5 minutes of constant pumping to inflate. And, that was extremely painful for me to do given the force and repetitiveness required, and after I had finished, I had injured my thumbs and it took several days for them to stop hurting. Someone who is disabled or with arthritis would likely not be able to pump this up by themselves, and would need assistance. The instructions were also unclear - to inflate, you need to have only the black valve open, and then push the cushion bubble underneath the red button MANY times, directly in the center behind that red button. Each time you push that spot behind the valve all the way, that is one complete pump, and the cushion will fill a little bit.The product is basically as described, but for me personally, I found it uncomfortable to sit on lumpy plastic bubbles. Deflating a bit would make those less stable, and made my spine lopsided and allowed it to move around too much. I could not sit on this long-term, as it hit pressure points that caused pain to flare up, and I also need my spine to be straight and stabilized.I asked a 2nd person to try the cushion. I am younger and female, and the other person was an elderly male. He said the same thing I did, that it was uncomfortable to sit on, and he would not want to do it long term. I seriously doubt he could have inflated it himself without using an electric pump, and he likely would have lost patience trying. But we both agreed this cushion was better than sitting on no padding at all, were it one's only choice. We live in a hot climate though, and ultimately sitting on plastic does cause one's skin to sweat if you're sitting on it a long while without enough climate control.Note though, both I, and the 2nd person I asked to try the cushion, have smaller than average bottoms. Please measure your backside while sitting at the widest point, and compare it to the dimensions for this cushion. Regardless of your size, it may just happen to hit your bones at the right place for you. But I do question if a larger or heavier adult would find this to fit their body well. It is not meant for an XL size seat. While this did not affect my review, I did try using this as a back cushion just in case, since I have difficulty with my back/spine. But I did not find it comfortable for that, either.I am giving 3 stars because although I don't find it usable for its intended purpose, the cushion is technically as described, other than the pump being obviously much slower and harder to work than indicated. While I don't think this design of cushion would ever work for me, the issues I have are not with this product in particular, but likely with all cushion products of this specific air bubble/plastic type.

The instructions are a little off. It says it has a manual pump, make sure the release valve is closed, open the other & use your palm or your finger to push in over & over to pump air into it. Claiming that it will fill with air in minutes. I did that & even 15 minutes later it still didn't even seem like I had manually pumped any air onto it. So I opened up the release valve & blew air into it, which worked a whole lot better. The hard part is closing that release valve without losing what I just blew in... However, now the manual pump was working as it is supposed to work. I quickly filled what had escaped after blowing into the air cushion, rapidly closing once I could no longer blow air into it & that wasn't very long at all. Then used the manual hand or finger pump to add more air. I definitely think this is a good value, I blew it up easily & I have asthma (currently with bronchitis) & it was quick to do. It fit great on my chair & it seems fine thus far. As for a "cooling" effect, I can't quite tell yet, but it seems like it would last a while.

I picked up the HamRoRung Inflatable Seat Cushion mainly for remote work, but honestly, it’s now my go-to for just about everything. It folds up super compact (about the size of a tablet when deflated) and inflates with just three deep breaths—seriously, it’s that easy. No lung-busting required. The quick release and one-way valves are well designed. I initially used the wrong valve for inflating and learned the hard way when it deflated mid-puff—but once I got the hang of it, it filled right up and stayed firm. This thing is deceptively comfy. You sit down, and the air shifts a bit, but not in a weird way—just a soft, floaty support that feels good whether you’re working at a desk, stuck on a hard stadium bench, or even dealing with folding chairs when guests come over. I’ve also used it on our wood dining bench where comfort was a distant memory. Problem solved. It’s big enough for wider hips (shout out to the roomy 18 x 16 size) but folds down to just 10 x 9 inches—perfect for tossing in a bag and it's lightweight. If your back or bottom needs a little extra love on the go, this cushion totally delivers.
