I was excited to get this grinder and I can see the versatility of it to use during travel or camping. It won't replace your regular grinder or coffee maker, but it's very transportable and works pretty well. It makes grinds of various sizes, which I have pictured: coarse on the left, medium in the middle, fine on the right. The grinder is slow and a little loud, it took a few minutes to grind the amount you would need for one to two cups of coffee. It was really hard to adjust the grind size and you should adjust to the size you want before putting anything in it. Stuff tends to get stuck between the blades and was annoying to get out. It was easy enough to clean, and a brush was provided to help do that. The coffee maker is a pour-over filter. The entire setup isn't any bigger than a 32-ounce hydro flask and it all fits together making it very portable. Great to have so you can make your coffee when not at home.

I really wasn't sure what to expect from this. It looked a bit gimicky. But, it is solid, heavy, and feels well built. Grinding is slow. Absolutely. But, you can set it and forget it, since there's an auto shut off when it finishes grinding your beans. So, the slow grinding is less of an issue than you'd think. It certainly takes less time to grind than it takes for the water to boil. The grind is much finer than I'd expected. One notch below middle was giving me a grind as fine or finer than I'd use in my Aeropress. I found that that was too fine for the included metal filter, which clogged up some on the finer grind. Just one notch finer than the coarsest setting worked well in the included metal filter, however, and that was still a fairly fine grind. I think it might even be ok on the coarsest setting. Obviously, the finer the grind, the longer it will take to grind, so I will be testing the coarsest setting soon. The hopper is limited to 15g of coffee, which is about half of my usual morning dose (yes, I may have a problem), so I've been making a couple of cups. The travel mug part works pretty well. It holds 12oz, btw. I don't think its a vacuum insulated base, but it still manages to do a good job at keeping the coffee warm. The outside of the mug only gets slightly warm. The metal filter that you grind the beans into has little arms on the sides that you pop open and then you set in on the mug and use it as a pour over coffee maker. The top of the grinder houses the lid to the travel mug when it isn't in use on the base/mug. Kind of a neat way of putting all the bits together.I've only used it a few times so far, so I cannot yet comment on battery life. So far, it's still holding up well on it's first charge. I'll try to remember to update my review when I have more information on battery life. Right now, I'm using it a lot at home, but in the long term it'll probably be used more for camping and traveling. For now, the novelty hasn't worn off yet, so it has kind of become my coffee maker of choice. I'll return to my aeropress soon enough, but I've been pretty happy with the quality of the coffee I get out of it.Note that this has some serious heft. You won't be taking it backpacking. On the plus side, that suggests it's well built. It'll be perfect for car and campground camping though. In the past, I've taken my aeropress and a painfully slow manual grinder on camping trips. I'm entirely ok with leaving all that home and having effortless morning coffee.

This is a basic blade grinder but it is quite effective. I found accidentally bought coffee beans instead of ground coffee, so needed a grinder but not a big one, just need something small and easy and fast to use. So, this one is really easy to use and only needs about 10 seconds to meet my requirements for grounds larger than fine ground. Seems high quality and will last longer. The size is also worth noting; the compact design allows it to fit easily on your countertop without taking up too much space. This grinder operates at a pleasantly low volume. USB charging cable includes, great size for your home or travel.
