Contrary to amazon's green recommendation box "Compatible with your 'All new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition 32 GB ...'." right next to the buy button, this cover does NOT fit the 2024 Paperwhite 12th Gen, so I had to return it.However, I would have loved to have kept it. The cork is both beautiful and pleasantly soft and comfortable to hold. The laser etched Kindle logo is crisp and unobtrusive. It is light and slim.I guess I will have to wait impatiently for Amazon to release this style in the correct size for the new Paperwhite. 🤞In the meantime, Amazon badly needs to clean up their search and compatibility recommendation system for Kindle covers - what a mess!

This is my 3rd Kindle Paperwhite. First got one to take on the road for business, so I wouldn't be lugging books. The second I gave to a relative wo wasn't certain he'd use it and didn't want to invest in a new one (loves it). I now use my new one. I got a cork cover for it, which is nice. For the first one, I got a black leather cover, that seemed to have a little padding in it. It felt nice in the hand, and I very much liked it. When I got the second one it was slightly larger and the leather cover would not fit. I ordered a "leather" cover, which in reality was a serviceable but unattractive material unlike any leather I have encountered, ever. When I ordered my present Kindle I avoided the "leather" option for the cover and instead chose the cork with which I am relatively pleased. If the leather covers available with the first one ever become an option, I would readily obtain one!

It's a beautiful item, but... Does not fit my new Paperwhite Signature 12th Generation Kindle. Rufus AI stated that it is designed to fit the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition; however, it is approximately 1/8” too narrow.

I love this cork cover, truly love and enjoy how it turns a piece of plastic (a Kindle) into something else (a lightweight, friendly-to-the-touch book).

My Kindle Paperwhite is always nearby, which means I read from it nightly in bed, I'm constantly moving it around the house, packing it in my luggage, etc.—it's heavily used. In November 2022 I purchased this Kindle-branded cork cover. It is constructed from a thin plastic shell wrapped with cork panels that are held on with strong adhesive. They have never de-bonded or frayed. The cork has never discolored or stained, although it has darkened a bit with use, in a pleasant way. The cover has stood up well to my heavy-handed constant use. It has a nice organic feel; unlike previous plastic or vinyl covers, it makes my Paperwhite feel more like a hardbound book.A couple of months ago, the flexible hinge started to deteriorate, and when I woke up one morning to find cork fragments in the bedsheets, it was time for a replacement. This time around I ordered the lighter-colored buff brown (my term) Kindle cork cover, just for a change. I've been very satisfied with the feel, performance and durability of my original cover, and the new one is identical except for the color. I'm sure it will perform equally well.

I ordered this case wondering if it was stupid to pay more for the look of it. While waiting for delivery I read reviews stating that it was hard to hold or sharp on the fingers around the edges and I worried that I'd immediately be returning my impulsive mistake. I have since received it and I'm not giving it back.It is light. It is functional. I find it very comfortable to the touch. I can almost see where someone might say that the edges feel sharp but really, no, there is no issue. I had purchased a hand strap too but there is no need. This case is very nice to hold.In honesty what it is is a well fitting, well functioning (protects kindle and auto wakes when opened) case that looks amazing. I got the dark cork and it looks even better in person. It looks to me like a wooden case and, maybe its silly, but I think that it looks so cool and yet not flashy that it is 100% worth it. I'd buy it again.

I've had this light-colored cork cover for about a year and a half, and I'm very happy with it. It feels nice and it has stood up to heavy use very well. Mine hasn't cracked as some have reported. It's starting to get dirty at the edges, so I'm going to have to learn whether cork requires a special cleaning method.Previously for my 2015(?) Paperwhite, I had the "Premium" leather cover, which felt nicer than the cheap cover but scratched incredibly easily. I've had many leather belts and wallets and none have scratched anywhere near as easily as that. I definitely like this cork cover better, so much so that I'm disappointed to see that it's not (yet??) offered for the 12th-gen Paperwhite and Colorsoft. Here's hoping they do!
