Good USB Stereo headset ideal for work meetings. It is confortable and has great audio quality. But as we are not high definition music expert we cannot compare with high end headsets.

I bought my Koss headphones w/mic for the purpose of not disturbing the rest of the house while I listen to music from my PC (sometimes I crank up the volume). They are working as expected, and they are very light (primarily made of plastic), but I have not tried out the microphone yet. I hope the clarity is good from the microphone. The headphones sound very good to me. I'll say the sound is average but what can you expect from a set of plastic headphones that cost around $35. The soft leather that wraps around what ever is spongy inside the ear cups and head band are superb. I have trouble hearing some high notes, but the low and medium notes come in nice and clear, and the bass notes sound great when the music has them. They are not sound cancelling for noises such as voices, though when I play my music with them my girl friend does not hear the music at all while sitting next to me. It is money well spent, even if the sound is "average". Though the fit is fairly good, it took awhile to get comfortable with them, I had to re position the headphones around my ears. I don't have large ears, but the comfy ear cushions are snug enough. Once positioned nicely they could be worn for hours. I will say that after one or two hours my ears were beginning to sweat and itch. But that is just me, the ear cups are vented at the top. When using the headphones and not needing the mic, I swing the mic upwards in line with the head band were it is out of the way. The microphone needs to have a little bit more tension on the swing arm because while adjusting the ear cups to properly fit my head the mic drops down one or two clicks, either front or back.I hope this helps someone making a tough decision to buy these or another brand.

I have the koss porta pro comfort zone head phones... which aren't too comfortable on the ears... but the sound is amazing! They also use a 3.5mm audio jack. I got the Koss USB headset and the sound is not as good :( This is a bummer. I don't know if it is because of the USB plug or if the headsets are just made this way. There is less bass which makes it easier to hear voices in songs and therefore voices when you are talking to people in game. The sound is still pretty good but I really wish it had more bass in the speakers.

Sorta big. Microphone wire is sort of STIFF and stays where it wants to, a bit hard to shape it to where you want and it doesn't move after that. That said, I was having many issues with my laptop microphone and the internet speed provided in my basic package. (I was not going to pay $1100 for two years of 'enhanced speed' "under contract" to try to fix it). The sound quality is excellent, the microphone does pick up very well, and with the USB plug if I had a wonky audio plug that issue is now moot. I have tinntinitus so an objective on range of the ear speakers isn't really possible. I will say I can easily adjust this on my sound controls to seem balanced to my hearing; I can hear friends speak to me very well; and they can hear me plainly and clearly now. Skype calls are now back to being possible, clear on both sides and standable. Even in group calls. I will recommend these if you need to do or make a lot of Skype calls and are having problems. Earcups seem comfortable as well, and there is a bit of cord length. I can get up and grab something off a bookcase, not really move from the area of my computer chair, but, not tightly leashed either. I give it five stars because these seem to be an excellent solution to what looked like an expensive problem. (and taking my laptop apart to put a new audio card or set of audio plugs in it, plus replacing the cam/mike, wasn't exactly what I wanted to do either)

I rate this product very low because they have not worked correctly from the time I took them out of the box. I bought these as a christmas present for my wife and we both were very disappointed in the quality. There is a loose wire in one side of the headphones and when you listen to music one side will cut in and out. I like the style and comfort of the product but not the sound quality. I have had Koss headphones in past years and I liked the sound quality, that is why I chose this product in the first place. If they worked correctly and the sound quality was up to par I would be very happy with them. I want them replaced. Do I work with you people or do I have to go directly to Koss? This experience makes me wonder if I will ever order from you again. Please respond. Thanks,Mike

I was looking to replace my old LifeChat LX-3000 phones because of their low mic record volume. I do voice recording for home movies and I also use them to take voice-to-text notes using Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition software. I was actually considering headphone products at 10x the price, but decided to give these a try based on favorable reviews. In short I am really delighted with the voice-record quality. In general I record then tweak the audio in SoundForge, and it was very obvious viewing the waveforms that I was getting about 3x the amplitude using the Koss phones. Clear as a bell. Audio playback also fine. Highly recommended. One minor complaint: I find they are a bit tight fitting though, so I just store them stretched wide across the top of my PC cabinet... which softens the fit just right when I pull them off to use.BTW: I had a lot of trouble with other vendor headphones... there was some design problem with laptop/PC USB grounding which left a "ground hum" (buzzing noise) in your voice recordings. I can't believe how many products had this problem. Back when I bought the LifeChat 3000, they were one of the few USB phones that completely solved the problem. I was actually pretty leery to buy another set of phones, concerned I'd run into this issue all over again. Anyway, happy to report the Koss SB45s have no buzzing noise at all, just as you'd naturally expect. Good luck with them.

I have owned many headsets and have now gone back to these as nothing else I've found can beat them. Just purchased these to replace my first pair (the exact but non-USB version). You can feel the quality compared to similar priced Plantronics or Logitech headsets.Sound: I'm a stickler for good sound and bass especially. I can't stand anything that has no bass. These aren't your fake bass-boost sounding gamer headset either. Just nice, clear and dynamic sound. Amazing for the price.Mic: great mic, sounds great. No complaints here. Can be pushed back completely out of the way.Comfort: I'm a web developer and chat a lot with clients on skype. I can wear these for extended amount of time no problem! Completely cups around your ear (unlike cheapo Logitech ones) and aren't too tight. They also block some external noise. All the padding is super soft andTravel friendly: Good luck finding fullsize headset that are foldable! A rare feature and love it as travel quite a bit.Small USB: Nice and compact design. My old Plantronics had such a big USB plug that I could hardly add other things in the other USB next to it.My first pair lasted way longer than my Plantronics (was disappointing product overall) and I'm so happy to have these again, but new and improved!KOSS, I sure hope you never stop making these!! (maybe I should stock up in case)
