I am not sure why another reviewer was having problems but these are beautiful standard size finials that should fit any modern lamp harp. I have been making a lot of lamps lately - I am a potter and have been throwing the bases. I just tested these finials on my stash of harps and they easily screwed onto all of them. Either the other reviewer received something defective or she had some unusual lamps. And if need be, there is a finial adaptor one can buy to adapt between smaller and larger openings. For me, these are perfect and beautiful finials. I look forward to using them!

I am giving these finials only 3 stars because I have many lamps, and I have swapped out their finials many times, including decorative holiday finials and they have always interchanged. These however, have a bolt receptacle way to small to work with any of my existing lamps. I did figure out that I can purchase a super light 'harp' for the finial to fit, but I don't want the extra hassle each time I feel like changing them up.I will say that they are heavy and smooth and really beautiful - if they fit what you want. I looked in the listing and there is no indication that they are a smaller than standard bolt size. At least I would've had the chance to decide for myself.
