The charger is actually better than the photos they display in the description. Unlike the photos, (1) the part that goes into the outlet is removable and the shape is compatible with the original Apple spec, (2) it has retractable cord wrapper, (3) it has a little cord catcher at the end that slides, and (4) the edges are rounded. So, aside from the cable being little stiffer, and not having the Apple logo, this is pretty much like the original. See my photo. It has the little LED light that indicate the charging status, and the magnet sticks just fine. I cannot vouch for the 20,000+ bend lifespan of the cable that they claim because I just started using this, but hopefully it'll last for a long time.Since I was expecting the one that looked like the photos, I was pleasantly surprised to have received this.

I needed a replacement for my old MacBook Pro (2011 model), and this charger was a perfect match. The L-tip magnetic connector fits snugly and stays secure without slipping off easily. It charges quickly and doesn’t overheat like some cheaper alternatives I’ve tried in the past. I’ve been using it daily for a couple of weeks with no issues—definitely recommend it for anyone with an older MacBook before mid-2012. The build quality feels solid, and the cord length is just right for use at my desk or couch.

I ordered this to replace an older 85w chord for an older computer. This would be the third one in 14 years so I guess that's not a bad track record. These things have gotten significantly cheaper over the years. In truth I have found the aftermarket charger/power chords to be of better and more durable quality than the original one that came with the laptop. It's probably all made in the same factories anyway but Apple likes to ensure that you have to keep spending more money on its products well after you own them. The chord is the same design and materials that I have seen on others. It is well made and adaptable with any plug in power chord to extend the range as well as having the option to plug in directly to the wall socket or power strip. The light indicting the charge status is the same binary style used on the original. There is a magnetic tip to ensure that it stays put at the point of entry locking it in.Functionally it is no different than the original chord. It will get slightly hot if it has been plugged in for a while but it does not become a problem. The heat is minimal and you could even put a small heat sink underneath it if you think you need it. There was no problems with connectivity and the chord functioned as it should.I was satisfied with my order. This is a well made product that functions no differently than the original design and it has been my experience that the aftermarket chords actually last longer and are more durable than the original. The significantly lower price of these things these days makes for a good value while sacrificing none of the quality. I would recommend this to anyone with an older laptop particularly to those people who believe that they always need to buy the official Apple chords for maximum benefit. The only difference with this aftermarket chord and the one they sell at the Apple store is the price and it has been my experience that these most likely will last longer.

W po tied perfectly, stays plugged in at both ends, my past copycats of Apple didn't work as steadily as this plug!

I haven't been able to charge my MacBook Pro in a couple years as I bought an aftermarket one before and it would overheat to the point that I thought it was going to catch fire! It was pretty scary. I read up some of the specs online for this one, and it was similar to that of the Apple MacBook Charger, just quite a bit less. I verified the Model Number of my computer to make sure it was compatible (MUST DO). I plugged in my computer and within minutes, it turned on and started to update within hours. I was SOOOOO happy! It took a couple of hours to completely charge. I appreciate the "boxy" look of this charger, and that it was a great value. I think this will hold up for quite some time and am so glad I finally found one that works.

I found an old laptop that I needed to charge but they dont readily sell the chargers for the 2012 computers any longer. this came quickly and worked great. got the battery charged fast and had no issues. I could tell it was repackaged, but I was fine with that for the price.

So relieved to have a safe and reliable charger for my laptop again. My old charger had issues with swelling, overheating, and had exposed wires wrapped in electrical tape due to an energetic kitten thinking it was a fun chew toy. This charger has functioned very well so far - it feels slightly warm but definitely not even close to overheating, it charges efficiently, and I’m super happy to find a charger that still fits my 2011 MacBook Pro.It came packaged nicely, including protective stickers on all its surfaces and a cap on the end of the charger.Overall super happy with this, will update if any issues come up - thank you!

I purchased this for a MacBook Pro 13" from 2015 and it didn't fit. I thought that according to the description that it would. The description said that it was compatible with MacBook Pro 13-inch, Retina Late 2012-2015. I can not truly rate it since I don't have anything that this will fit.
