This magnetic hat and sunglasses holder is beautifully designed and thoughtfully crafted. The leather feels high quality, and the stitching is clean and consistent, giving it a polished, durable appearance. The metal ring clip is a great feature as it’s easy to open and close, and convenient for attaching to different bags or purses. Once fastened, it stays securely in place but is still user-friendly.Since I didn’t have a sun hat handy, I tested it with a baseball cap attached to a small bag. Out of curiosity, I first clipped it to the brim just to see how it handled a thicker section and the magnets didn’t hold. I then tried a thinner part of the cap, and while it did hold, it wasn’t especially secure and could be easily bumped or pulled off.This leads to my main critique: the magnets aren’t quite strong enough to reliably hold hats with thicker materials. While I understand the need to avoid damaging delicate brims, a bit more holding power would make a big difference in functionality.Overall, it’s a beautiful and well-made accessory with a clever design. If the magnets were slightly stronger, it would easily be a five-star product. For now, I’m giving it four stars for style and craftsmanship, with room for improvement in performance.

This magnet clip is great! The magnet is very strong. I have tested it on a few of my hats and I didn't have any issues with most of them, but my 2 biggest hats fell out of the clip after being jiggled a bit. I think it will work best with medium hats that aren't made from really smooth woven straw/fibers. I also love the little strap to hang your sunglasses on. This was so perfect for the beach-- I didn't have to cram my hat in my bag and risk it getting bent.I've also attached it to my son's stroller while we were out and I was able to hang his jacket from it with no issue. My favorite use so far is actually to hang my barista apron-- previously I had no way to hang it up without tying the strings together. Now I just keep the clip on it and it's so easy!

The first time I saw a hat clip was a few years ago for 75$ and I thought it was such a great idea but not a 75$ problem. I searched high and low for dupes and couldn’t find anything. I was very excited to find this affordable clip. This is a much cuter way of attaching your hat to luggage/ tote. The magnetic clip is strong, but not 100% fool proof. I would be mindful and if you’re rough with your bags then this probably isn’t for you. But it’s worked fine for me so far!

This is made of well crafted, beautiful leather (like?) The addition of a small strap to hang your sunglasses on is brilliant.I tried this on different hats with different weights and finishes, it seemed to work best with thinner, lighter hats. The magnets are very strong when put together, but if it is jiggled side to side, the hat will fall off.For example, if I am pulling my suitcase and the hat bumps into something even a little bit, the hat will fall off. It’s problematic in that you don’t know it happened, so you have to keep checking to make sure it didn’t fall off.This would be absolutely perfect to use on a cruise for the magnetic wall. It can hold some fairly heavy objects, as long as they aren’t jiggled around.

I've been meaning to get one of these for a long time, and more recently need one as I have a medical condition that requires me to have zero sun ever hit my face, I'm carrying a hat everywhere, so I was thrilled to see this here on Amazon. Love the clasp, it's the kind you simply press in to open, but looks like a smooth ring and is very secure, love those. I wondered if the magnets can really be strong enough to hold through the thickness of a hat bring plus the leather they are encased in. The short answer is yes. Wow the magnets are strong, it's a challenge to pull apart. But you will need to keep aware of your hat while walking. If bounced vigorously, like if you were on a bumpy ride or jogging, the hat slides out a bit with each bounce. At a more normal walking pace, with gentle, repetitive movement, it's much slower to slide but you'll want to be aware of it and make sure it's staying put, especially if windy. I'm not taking away a star for that, I believe from what I have read and seen that this is the nature of this type of item, and this one IMO is not lacking in quality. I love the slot for sunglasses- they won't slide out, but you'd naturally want to keep an eye on your glasses, especially if they're necessary and/or expensive.

I've been wanting one of these magnetic hat clips for a while, and I'm glad I waited until I found this one. The addition of the loop part to hang sunglasses on is great. The magnets are really strong, and the clasp is large enough to easily hook onto lots of things. I'm not crazy about the color of the leather, but then I realized that I can paint it pretty easily. (It's pretty easy to paint leather, and craft paint adheres really well to it.) So I ordered it, and I'm really glad I did now.This will make carrying a hat around possible. I usually wind up just not wearing one because I wanna avoid having to carry it around if it gets windy or something.

Not only is it a handsome hat clip, but the magnets are so strong it would be nearly impossible for the hat to disengage from the clip on its own. Have several nice hats I wear all the time, this will keep them securely attached to my handbag or briefcase. No longer have to fear they will accidentally be left behind in a restaurant or other location.

Strong magnet holds together -- worked well with my straw hat- I could shake it around and it stayed put. The ring that comes with it has a good spring so it stays closed and not likely to just fall off whatever you hook it to (you do have the option to not use the ring). Having the strap to hang glasses from is super handy as well. It is a bit bulky- but with a good working magnet you can't avoid the size.
