This does exactly what it says it can! Only had it for a month, used it to burn weeds! I hope it lasts a long time.

I thought it was amazing how much power it had. Then I realized I was only 1/4 throttle. Wow this thing will blow the weeds right off your driveway.

I browsed Amazon looking for a tiger torch and with this being the best seller, I knew that I would likely be happy with it.When it arrived, I connected it up and on the advice of another reviewer, I whispered "Dracarys!" and lit it up. Holy cow! There is a reason that this is the #1 best seller on Amazon. The flame roars and must be 2 feet long going full bore and makes using this thing more fun than chore. I set my grass on fire from 4 feet away while not paying a suitable level of attention. There are cheaper torches on here but I'll wager that none are more fun than this one.

I have a giant patio of pavers, and every summer the thing gets totally overrun with weeds and no one my house wants to get out there and deal with them. My solution has, in the past, been RoundUp...but I have been forbidden from using that by the powers that be (understandably. I mean, apparently that stuff is just the worst.) So that still left me with a huge weed problem to deal with. This thing is pretty incredible. Enormous firepower. I've found it is most effective/efficient if you go over all the weeds once to scorch them up a bit, and then wait a day or so until they are dead and brittle - and then go back over them a second time, and completely incinerate them. No pulling or raking necessary, just a little ash that a little wind will pick up and scatter across the rest of the lawn. It makes short work of even a ton of weeds, and (of course) has the side benefit of making you feel like a complete badass while wielding a flame thrower!Works perfectly with a standard 20 gallon propane tank. Just make sure to use a wrench to secure the ends correctly.

Ok, I was hesitant to buy this after reading many not so great reviews. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the people that are giving bad reviews don't know how to operate this type of equipment (and probably shouldn't be using it) Don't listen to all the BS about the new style 20lb tanks being the prob, or safety valves, etc. Hook it up to your 20lb tank, crack the valve on the tank, crack the valve on the wand and fire it up. As with all propane equip, start it out slow and let it warm up for a few seconds. Then pour on the coals. It gets hot. Real hot, and real loud. I'm sure it's eating up LP gas like a space ship eats rocket fuel, but it gets the job done. I spray my weeds first and let em die. Then go back with the torch and remove them a week or two later when they're nice and dry. Works like a charm

This thing puts out an incredible amount of heat, likely very near the limits of what a 20# tank can handle. The only issue I've experienced is the flame going out sometimes on full blast if you're not careful about the exhaust blowing back towards the nozzle on a windy day. When this happens the flame is starved of oxygen and the torch can put itself out and needs to be turned down and reignited. Wear goggles when using. When burning weeds on gravel the heating on full blast is so rapid and intense it can cause spalling of small bits of gravel. You'll literally see small bits break off the gravel and be ejected enough to hit you in the face.

If you are serious about getting rid of weeds without chemicals this IS the product for you.Forget about getting the wimpy torches at Home Depot or even on here. Why? Simply because to kill a lot of spreading weeds you need to burn out the roots. The smaller torches just don’t heat up the soil enough to kill the roots. You will likely never turn this torch on full blast but even at 20% power it is more powerful than the smaller torches at full open.Managed to keep a rock area 80’x 20’ clear of weeds all season without a drop of chemicals and it lasts longer....because it wipes out the roots !The 15’ hose means you don’t have to carry it around much. Just set it down and clear the 30’ circle all around the tank.Don’t underestimate the flame. It can not be used around mulch it WILL set it on fire.

I did not know what 500,000 Btu s were until I got this thing. Wow! I just wanted something to burn a bunch of weeds and goat heads growing behind my fence. I not only sterilized the ground, but almost started my fence on fire when I got too close. This torch has a knob to moderate how much heat you want to throw, and it works very well. Turn this thing up to full blast, and you will instantly bake anything in its path. It also makes a lot of noise when on full power, a loud, continuous "woosh" sound, that is sure to attract attention. While the "can" where the flame comes out gets hot, the handle does not. A 20 lb propane tank is perfect for this, as it is easy to move around from area to area. Not to worry, the hose is plenty long to stay a distance from the tank. But everything you need to get started is here, less a tank and propane. This is a great product at this price point. Seriously though, if your goal is to burn away some ground cover, make sure you have a hose standing by in case what you set afire gets away from you. I was burning up to my neighbors's chain link fence, and grass and some kind of flowering plant caught fire on the other side. A few squirts with the hose, and it was out. A dinner invitation for my neighbors gave me a chance to explain that black spot on their side of the fence.

Loved how fast it was to set up and use. Hooked it up to a 100lb tank without a problem and fired it right up. Strapped it to a dolly and off I went. Wish I would have bought it 4 years ago, I sure won't be hand cutting weeds/brush anymore!PROS: It burns everything!Fit standard propane tankEasy assemblyEasy useCONS: Short hose (do yourself a favor andget a longer one!)The torch gets heavy after awhile (ahandle would be nice)It will bring out your inner pyro 😆

It does it's job well. Seems to be solidly built and the hose is decent and leak free, unlike the reviews for several other weed burners on Amazon. Only 2 issues: 1: there are absolutely no instructions on how to use it. Using common sense and what I remembered about bunsen burners from High School Chem, I figured it out and was able to operate it without anything bad happening. 2: the paint burned/melted off of the burner end as soon as I lit it the first time. I suspect it will begin rusting very quickly without any coating on it. This needs to be stainless steel or painted with something heat resistant (like whatever they use for grills). Overall, I am satisfied but I wouldn't rate it a 5.
