No complaints really besides the idea of it being a lil flimsy but she worked out great. Ya just gotta snap off the excess/unused tabs, install radio to mount then you’re all set - try using a strong scissors or something to start off breaking the tabs, makes it more easier and has less of a chance to break other parts of its structure. Overall happy with the price and install was pretty simple and went by quick.

I found the manual confusing. Suggest "XB1" and "XB2" to be marked on the tabs that need to be removed.Surely there will be some research and trial and error when using a universal product.Works great once it is all installed!

I couldn't make this thing fit flush no matter how many ways I tried it, it comes with just about every attatchment to make it fint any scion, its very chincy, as you have to break off tabs you dont want to use, for example it will say XD or XA next to a tag and if youre using it for an XB like me you break off all the tabs that dont say XB, even with that done the mount didn't sit totally flush, i ended up just taking the mounts off the original radio and mounting the new radion in its place and just sandwiching the kit between the radio and the dash cover, it actually looks okay and suprisingly the pressure keeps it stiffm only problem is theres a 1cmm wide open space across the bottom, ive remedied it for the time being but only until I can find a higher quality adapter or just buy a double din, as the Scion XB wil fit a double din perfecly with no adapters.

Fits great in my 05 xB. Some people say tabs are confusing. Just look at your stock radio mounts, and mimic them on the kit. The kit is also labeled, so I left the tabs that said xB and cut the xA and tC off. Perfect, 5 minute install.

I've gone through 2 of these already and finally just gave up on the plastic. I'll probably break down and buy another but not for a while.It fits perfectly like it says which is really nice (I have a 2005 xb) but the plastic tab mounts snap over time if there is a lot of vibration like living on a dirt road or accidentally hitting too many traffic cones at night. It fits xA, xB, and Tc because it has break away tabs for each car, meaning these tabs that hold your stereo in place, are meant to break away if you don't want them. Warning, these tabs when broken off are a choking hazard to small dogs and probably children. The bigger dogs didn't seem to have a problem though so don't worry. The tabs work but again they are made to break away so try to avoid stressing them or gluing them back on, that doesn't work.Over all the product worked well for the first few months but I'm not a fully satisfied customer, however it IS plastic and what should I expect? I give it 4 stars and hope no one else has a problem. Tip: avoid hitting dear - the plastic is likely to break in that event.

This is an odd kit. It comes in several pieces with instructions that fail to mention which pieces you will need and how to put it together. The legs and arms of the kit are labeled based on what model scion you have but they don't tell you that you'll need to remove the ones that don't apply to your car. Luckily my dad has a Dremel tool that easily cut off the excess legs. I also had to cut the metal brackets that were in my scion in half in order to get those to also fit with the new mounting bracket because the plastic just doesn't seem stable enough on its own. Once it was installed there was a small gap between the radio faceplate and the kit but it's hardly noticeable. All in all this product gets the job done, just not as perfectly as I would have liked.

I read somewhere that this Metra install kit was superior to the Scoshe kit offered for Scions since the Metra offered a larger CD compartment. I helped a friend install this product into his '08 Scion TC and the kit couldn't be easier to assemble and install. It quite literally snapped into place and you simply snap off the tabs that aren't needed. The CD tray offered plenty of room for my friend to store his dinosaur of a zune and aux cable with plenty of room to reach in there with your fingers. I highly recommend this install kit.

I have a 2005 scion tc and needed this handy little kit because i was pulling out the stock radio and put in a anew pioneer DEH 3200ub (only single din size). Not only did it fit absolutely perfect, but it is completely idiot proof. It has all the tabs on it for all scion vehicles, and you simply snip off the ones that aren't for your vehicle (it tells you which ones to cut off). The open space below is nice too because it gives me a place to put my ipod, phone, and radio remote when not in use.If you have a scion and are putting in a single din size stereo - buy this. You wont regret it.
