I set up a few of these for some of my trees to help keep them alive during our horrible summers. I found that they worked, but are a bit different than you might be used to. Instead of putting the tubing over a barb, they push in and lock similar to a fridge or RO system waterline. As a result, my softer rubber lines did not work, but more rigid ones worked well. That aside, they worked as expected and the spray can be adjusted. Time will tell how they do in the hot southern US sun.

Note that these have push in connectors, which means they work best with polyethylene or nylon tubing. Barbed connectors are best used with vinyl (i.e. PVC) tubing. If your system is already partly installed, you should match the connector types of any new components to your existing tubing type.

These sprinklers/emitters are really very good! The quick connection works great every time and is also easy to disconnect (important!). The adjustment is also easy and very helpful for spray size from almost just a little amount to a full and wide spray!I’ve not noticed any leaks where these are in place… just make sure to insert the tube in completely- you can feel it when the insertion is complete to prevent leaks, right?). I like these sprinklers. Great value for the money, that’s for sure! All VeryGood.

These were the perfect addition to my existing irrigation system that already uses this same exact style of emitter. It fits perfectly on my 1/4 inch tubing and doesn't leak as long as fully connected. They are easy to remove as well, just push in the little flange and pull the tubing. The stream is adjustable to a point, you just have to be careful not to unscrew the entire top of the sprayer. It puts out a nice circle of flow. If you are having trouble make sure you dont have water pressure issues- I thought i had duds until I realized I was at the end of a long line of skinny tubing and there just wasn't enough pressure to be had! Once I corrected that they worked perfectly

These little guys are great. I have a fairly large brand name system that sounds like "painheard".... And despite that I bought the extra repair kit that comes in the handy bucket, I have ended up expanding on it so much that I'm running low on parts. I ordered these little guys and I actually like them better than just about any of the little similar nozzles that come with the big brand name kit. These are so much better; ease of installation is just so much better. Simply popping them into the connectors and then pushing the connector in to pull the hose out if you want to switch it out or move it around is so handy. These are amazing. I absolutely love these. I don't know that I will ever use the brand name stuff again. Build quality seems good, but that of course will depend on how they do next year after they've sat in my garage for the year. It always seems like things work really well over the summer and then mysteriously while they're in storage for the winter they decide to crack, break or become unusable. So, it will be interesting to see how that goes. But so far these are an excellent replacement. You can fine tune them so that they spray over a large area in your garden or flower bed, or you can keep them to where they are just bubbling a little bit of water out. That isan improvement in water efficiency, compared to its brand name counterpart....I love that they already come with the stake attached... The other brand doesn't always do that. Having to attach the hose to a stake is always such a pain and then they come apart and the stakes get lost... The functionality on that system is just terrible. This one absolutely shines. These are just such a good deal for your money and the updated design for connecting the hoses is great.

I have several zones of drip irrigation lines for both my front and backyard planters, and I've become a huge fan of the 'quick connect' type over the traditional barbed emitters for multiple reasons. The obvious one is the ease with which you can swap out/replace/add emitters, as the quick connect mechanism gives you much more freedom to make those adjustments compared to the hassle of barbed connectors. This pack of 'vortex' emitters has the single port arrangement designed to work with dedicated feed lines off a T-joint or similar, and I had no trouble using them with either the semi-rigid 1/4" tubing or the more flexible vinyl 1/4" tubing already in use with my systems. The key is that the tubing needs to be cut cleanly with a flat end all the way around so the metal clamps inside the port will grip, hold, and seal the line under pressure. The twist top adjustment for the nozzle allows you to fine-tune the flow level depending on your available pressure and watering needs. The 6-inch height and solid spike make it easy to place them, and the quality of the plastic is up to standard for durable/prolonged use.

I really wanted these to work. I need dozens of these emitters and the price couldn't be beat. But it doesn't fit standard 1/4" irrigation tubing. The hose I have is from Lowes and measure 7.25mm outside. The opening in the emitter is only 6.42mm. Even MIXC's tubing (manufacturer of these emitters) measures 7mm according to their listing. I wouldn't have a problem buying MIXC's tubing but if it doesn't work I'd be stuck with emitters and tubing that I can't use. I tried fish tank tubing and that can be inserted into the emitter - but no way to tell how will that hold up outdoors.
