This compass points north so it works! Nothing fancy but has some nice well-thought out features including the built-in magnifying glass and scaling ruler on the edges, which is handy for orienteering.

I am not sure if they are all like mine or if I got a lemon but my compass needle just sticks insides the case so when you rotate it the needle gets stuck and does not point north. It also does not balance level and is part of why it gets stuck. Overall this is a terrible compass and I would not recommend.

It's hard to find a good compass these days, this one is on the dinky side but actually works rather then just be a compass shaped toy however I can see how build quality can have a broad amount of variation since it's all plastic so it's a gamble. A+ for me

This compass works well and is accurate pointing north. It's well made and the bessel is very smooth when tuning for homing in on an area. I was impressed that there were no bubbles and that it had 4 dots that glow in the dark for night time use.

A simple no frills compass for the backpack, probably won't get much use these days with phones and GPS, but it's still a valuable emergency tool to have and learn how to use...**EDIT I had this in my camping backpack since purchase about 3 months ago, well this weekend I was taking an orienteering case that required I use a 'real compass' not a phone well I busted this out and low and behold it has zero magnetization...

Nice little compass. Seems to be pretty well made is easy to use and not overly expensive. It’s a good size that’s easy to use or carry with you. I would definitely make a nice gift.
