I bought this for my motorhome so I can haul my ebike while towing a car. Works great and extremely heavy duty. I recently used it on a 1600 mile trip with no issues.

Exactly what was needed to extend my hitch receiver to allow me to tow my utility trailer with the truck tailgate in the down position. Made of very thick metal this hitch extension weighs about 20 pounds. The build quality is excellent. The over and under design with one side being extended, gives you the added option of placing the hitch at the optimum position to keep the trailer level. You can also opt to have two different ball sizes installed at all times. This is the perfect accessory to your towing hardware. The extension also gives you additional room for turning when backing so the tow vehicle has less of a chance of coming in contact with the trailer. Recommend

I have a mobility scooter lift in the top receiver and a towing drawbar in the lower receiver. The top receiver is not recommended for towing, but you can pull 4,000 pounds with the lower receiver. The great part is, I can have the lift in the up position and still have access to the lower receiver with a 2 inch raise so I can still pull my utility trailer. I would buy this again. It's the only one that I saw that looked like it is well built for my purposes. It works great!

I used this so I could install a close fitting step in the lower receiver, and the trailer hitch in the upper one. This allows me to keep the step in place all the time, and use the upper receiver hole for my lighter trailers. That is the good part. After a month, two issues surfaced. First, the coating used on this is not very good - light rust started to show through already. I did clean off the surface rust and applied a couple coats of industrial enamel, which seems to be working, but that isn't something I should have needed to do. Second, the fit was a bit loose - more so that my other hitches - so I added an anti-rattle clamp on both this receiver and the step - this solved that issue.
