Excellent luggagePRO:-extremely good build quality, compared to every other suitcase I've ever examined or handled. That's compared to competing products costing $800-1000.-all design elements as documented on Pelican's site, including the gasket design, pressure valve, user-serviceable wheels, handles, latches. All as you would expect, or better.-shell still looks great even once scuffed by airport handling, unlike aluminum suitcases.CON:-ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: anywhere you go in Europe they will assume that anything pelican branded may contain a gun. I'm not exaggerating. They will take more time handling your bag, scanning it, using different conveyors for transporting it to and from the aircraft. It can be a huge pain in the butt, if you don't realize they are doing this. And nobody is going to explain it to you. By default, go to the Oversized Luggage / Sensitive Luggage area when flying with these suitcases. This may also happen in other locations, it's not exclusive to Europe.-Expensive. Like seriously. Like extremely. I mean it's better than most $500-800 suitcases on the market, sure. And I love Pelican as a brand. But my gosh does the pricetag sting the wallet when a polycarbonate hardside suitcase with plastic latches is looking you in the face, for the low low price of $125.-NECESSARY ACCESSORY: stickerbombing. You cannot use these suitcases without doing something to change their aesthetic because all pelican cases look identical until they are stickerbombed. It's not just a culture thing, it's literally for your own identification. ... ... okay it's also a way to flag things you care about. Wave your banner proudly, people. I love it. I'll be keeping it for decades (I hope?)

I travel frequently and bought many carry on bags. This pelican product is the best carryon bag I’ve ever used. You won’t find it’s double. Nice job pelican.

Ok. This is a HANDSOME piece! Looks and feels very solid. True to its Pelican heritage of built tough. TSA locks also feel very secure and have a satisfying click when they close/open.HOWEVER, it is VERY VERY small inside. As in TINY. There’s a 1 inch plastic padding on the inside, which, paired with the liner, make the carry space very limited. So I wouldn’t say it’s a true 22.’’ The telescopic handle is ok, but could be sturdier.Overall, nice first venture into carry-on luggage by Pelican. I give it a 7/10.

This is an amazing piece of luggage. Your stuff is going to be protected in scenarios that would see a normal piece of luggage dented, broken, or shredded on the dusty tarmac of airport-x and it's most indifferent staff in the event that you have to check your carry-on.The tradeoff for the waterproof, armored survivability - is slightly smaller interior dimmensions. If you are an efficient packer, and able to use a carryon efficiently, but absolutely need a secure, tough carryon, that will protect your essentials - there isn't a better solution that I have been able to find than the Pelican ATX.

I ordered the charcoal suitcase, and they sent me a cream-colored one. Shipping was so expensive that I had no choice but to keep it.The suitcase is of very good quality but very heavy.
