Love the idea of light up pickleballs but these need some work. They light up well enough but get a random bad bounce where the light screws in. For that reason, we rarely use them.

These lighted balls were perfect to extend play as sundown got early in October. You do have to be careful in placing the light into the hold in the ball. Remember that the ball is used in a violent atmosphere. It is banged on hard over and over. Eventually I found that hole that holds the light just breaks off and the light says inside. This is not a criticism, just acknowledging that they won't last forever.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my son in law. Him and my daughter are playing after work and in the winter it gets dark early. They've already used the balls once and said that they work great. They actually had someone on the next court try to steal one from them because they are so cool glowing in the dark. The balls are fairly inexpensive and make a great little surprise gift for any pickleball fanatic.

I haven't had any difficulty with any malfunction or difficulties with the lights becoming detached, etc. I leave a small screwdriver in the container with them so I can turn them on and off without searching for that. It's fun to bring them out as it is getting dark to extend our playtime.

We loved the bright light (the 2nd gen picklestar 2 is definitely better than the first gen yellow one & better than other brands from what I've read). Battery life is good & I got the bundle for $40 that had the 4 balls with 4 batteries & an extra 12 batteries so 16 batteries that should last 160+ hours. The one downside was the original balls I got had weak attachment points for the light bulb / battery socket but the seller was quick to respond and update their design so I will reevaluate the new balls in a couple weeks when I get them!

Just got these. Brought them to a pickleglow birthday party at our club. The ball lost its bounce (would only bounce up 2 inches from court, must be the seam that isn’t flat at all) every few minutes and had to keep replaying the serve. Was embarrassed when friends no longer wanted to play with it. Super disappointed.

The balls worked great with very visible lighting and a consistent bounce very to similar to a normal ball until they broke. It only took a couple games for the light assembly to break off and start rattling inside the ball. The durability definitely need to be improved for me.

This is my second purchase. This review explains. The first set, with balls preloaded with LED batteries, was spectacular; we loaned out spares in the early morning and inspired others to buy them (Seriously, I should get a cut.).This second set was different in that the balls were not preloaded with LED batteries; instead, batteries were provided separately in the package. I encountered a problem only because this separate battery package had apparently been opened by a previous consumer who had inserted a battery into a ball; said battery was dead. I got 4 balls, one dead. This made me cranky.Fast forward: I complained via an Amazon review, and PickleStar immediately offered a reimbursement. A great thing. So I changed my review of my own free will. If you want to dink in the dark (our group's name is Early Bird Dinkers), these balls are for you. They don't play exactly like outdoor balls, but, on their own, they create a great deal of fun and allow those of us who go early to grab a court an opportunity to dink in the dark.I will buy them again.
