When a leading traditional archery bow maker tells you it is a good beginner bow and that you should buy one, I purchased four. They purchased ten or eleven and re-worked the riser to their spec's and then sell them for more money. The PMZ bow is light and well put together. I paid $429.00 just for a pair of limbs to put on a Bear Takedown Bow. You pay for the name. I am not a spokesman for PMZ but I have to be realistic. The sum of all it's parts including a bow case, bow stringer, arm guard, finger tab and 6 carbon arrows for $99.95 makes it a steal. If you only hunt two months of the year, think about it. A name brand or a nice bow for a decent price.

The bow kit met my expectations and is of good quality. The only suggestion I have is it would be good to include a brief manual describing all the included parts and assembly sequence.

Very nice longbow. Shoots great. I have two 25# bows and 30# bow. Love them. They make a 20# bow like this but have seen one on Amazon. They list it. Will get one when available.

Over all build quality of the bow is good, I purchased the 40#, mine scaled out at 42 pounds at my 31” draw length (at 28” it pulled in at 37 pounds) so it was a little below the specs. I have put about a100 arrows across it so far, and it shoots well. The supplied carbon arrows are decent and weigh in at 560 grains, average speed was 156 fps on the chonograph. They are a tad heavy for this bow. I normally keep my arrows in a 10 pounds per draw weight. Arrow spine is in the 500 range. Hand shock is present with the stock string, changing out to higher quality flemish string eliminates that though. Nock end on the risers were kinda sharp and required a bit of dressing with some fine sandpaper. I think this bow is a good value, came with bow, 6 arrows, carry case, tab and arm guardUpdate: I modified the riser by shaping the arrow shelf to more of a radius and reduced the thickness about a1/8”so it is more of a centershot. Also made some limb takedown bolts that don't require tools. Riser mods made a big difference on accuracy. Have put several hundred arrows across it now. Very pleased with this bow now

Fit and finish were perfect. Well packaged and prompt delivery. Bow is much more narrow than my other bows of similar design. Very easy to assemble. Shoots fantastic ( as do my 2 other PMZ bows). I think it’s the quietest bow I’ve shot. The pictures don’t do the bow justice, it is a very nice looking bow with beautiful wood grain in the riser.

I know it’s a cheap bow, but I can’t believe how nice it is for the price. I used it twice already. I just received it today but tried it out and it’s very accurate and Easy to use. Been Target shooting with Bows for a very long time and I like this. Can’t find anything wrong with it. Pleasantly surprised I got the 40 and thought I might have a little trouble at this age, drawing it but again pleasantly surprised that I was able to do so without a problem. Overall, at this time, I think it’s excellent.
