Fits my older Polaris P94. However don't toss your old one, you'll need the closing mechanism as this is only the basket.

It's made with a slightly different kind of plastic than the original but the door snaps on fine and it fits into the Polaris P955 fine. One thing that was odd. When I first put the new canister in and put the unit in the water, like I've done hundreds of times before, it didn't sink on its own. Never had that happen before. With a little encouragement it did go to the bottom of the pool and several cleanings later I have not had that experience again. It was just odd, not a problem.

I wouldn’t have known where to find a replacement part for my pool cleaner. The store where we first purchased was no longer in business. Looked on amazon there it was and the price was good!

This is different from the canister supplied with my sweep but it's hard to tell if you don't look closely. I can say that it works really well for my pool. I have a lot of debris in my pool and the old canister was pretty much useless. The difference is impressive and I can finally get the larger stuff off the bottom.The wall cleaning is better as well since it relies on the flow through the canister and I'm not getting the error 4's anymore (as well as doing a much better job on the taller walls.Again, unless you look closely it looks like the original canister but the difference is amazing.Also note that once the pool is clean the original canister works pretty well but spring and fall are not kind to my pool.Followup: After using the new canister for a couple weeks now I am actually happy with my sweep. I have to clean the device every couple days but the sides of the pool have never looked this good and I'm not out with the brush all the time.
