This is exactly what we needed. We have a pool guy who comes and cleans the pool, but we needed something to sweep out the bugs that get stranded overnight. This is really extendable and surprisingly strong. I don't think I'd try to catch frogs in it, but I bet it would hold up.It's a good value for the money as a less expensive skimmer.The aluminum pole is sturdy even when it's fully extended. The net is a fine mesh to catch little stuff. And the net is secured with a robust rubber gasket. It is super easy to use - just extend the pole ( or don't) and skin the pool. It functions simply without any extra.

Ok, this is a nice concept with a few corrections. First, on the small plastic adapter that goes between the net and the handle, there is a bur on the part (see pictures) that prevents installation. Use a razor or other item to remove bur and smooth surface.Second, if you follow directions for installation of part into handle, you are going to hurt your hand. Instead use a small blow hammer to install or a block of wood and a small hammer. It is a VERY tight fit. ensure you have the part lined up correctly before pushing it in. Once there, it is not going to want to come out.After all of this, it is a very nice and functional until. Works well for skimming leaves. The collapsable handle makes it easy to store.

missing the most important piece…. The part that connects the handle to the net was not in the package.
