I have been looking for a propane griddle for a long time now. I have a BBQ and a smoker, and I really wanted something that I could use to cook those things that you can not cook on a BBQ or smoker. Also, I have recently discovered Smash Burgers, and I wanted something that I could use to cook these outside, so I do not always have to do them on my stove. This outdoor griddle arrived very well-packaged. One warning is that the box is very heavy. It will take two or more people to carry it. Once I received it, I tore the box open and removed the individual parts, which made it a lot easier to move. When I first looked at all the pieces I was almost overwhelmed but I must say that this was one of the best builds I have ever done. The instruction manual is very good! You can easily see the orientation of the pieces by looking at the images. All of the parts are well-numbered. I was able to assemble this by myself from start to finish in about 2 hours. One small note. The instructions were perfect except for one mistake. My parts, 22 and 23, seemed to have their labels mixed up. I could tell this by looking at the images in the instructions. Not sure if this is a mix-up in the instructions or with the number on the parts but it's not a major issue and I only mention this to help others who may have the same small issue. As I was putting this together, I was totally impressed with the quality of everything. All the parts are perfectly made and fit together flawlessly. This is not a cheaply made griddle. All the pieces are thick and solid. The griddle itself is iron and very, very heavy. The wheels are large and move very easily, even with the griddle and propane tank in place. The shelves lower and raise easily, and there is even a paper towel roll you can use, which is attached to one of the shelves.Comparing this to the most common name-brand griddle on the market that my neighbor has, we both agreed this was better made and just as solid. There are 4 burners on this griddle, each with independent control. The cooking surface is huge. It is 555 square inches and 36 inches wide!A pleasant surprise is that this comes with a cover with the Onlyfire logo on it. I had already ordered one before this arrived, and was very happy to see they even included a cover. There is an ignition button that starts the burners immediately. You do need to install a single AA battery for this to work. They also include a matchstick holder for manual lighting if you need to.There is a grease catcher. On the front of the left shelf, there is a magnetic strip that lets you attach some of your tools to it when cooking. The propane tank sits on the small stand on the right of the griddle. The only thing I don't like is that if you want to lower the right shelf to put the cover on, you need to remove the propane tanks since the right shelf will not lower with the propane tank in place.Lighting is very easy. Each burner can be lit independently since there is an ignitor by each burner. The first thing you need to do is season the cast iron griddle. You do this in the same way you would season any cast iron pan. Put a couple tablespoons of oil on it, and heat it until it stops smoking. You repeat this 3 or 4 times until the griddle is black and seasoned. This heats up very quickly, and I have already used this for fish, fried rice, smash burgers, and breakfast. It works amazingly well.I did a test to see how even heating was by putting several slices of English muffins over the entire griddle. I can then compare how brown these get. The temperature is very good across the entire griddle with only very minor hot and cold spots which is normal for any BBQ, smoker, or propane griddle.I am very pleased with this griddle. It has far exceeded my expectations and is as good if not better than the most popular name brand griddles we hear about.I do recommend this!!
