My old catalytic converter was basically toast, and the check engine light had become a permanent dashboard decoration. I got this one for my 2009 Santa Fe, and it fit right where it was supposed to—firewall side, just like it says. Once installed (not the easiest spot to get to, by the way), the light went off, and the engine started running smoother almost right away. I passed inspection without a problem, which was the real goal here.

If you’re looking for a solid catalytic converter replacement, this one gets the job done.The build quality seems good, and installation is straightforward if you have the right tools and some experience. It fits well, mounting directly to the exhaust manifold and it does what it’s supposed to do with no check engine lights or performance issues after installation.One thing to keep in mind, however.It will pass emissions but not everywhere. This converter is only legal in 46 states. If you live in California, Colorado, New York, or Maine, you’re out of luck because it doesn’t meet their stricter emissions standards. Make sure to check your local regulations before buying, or you might end up with a part you can’t even use.Overall, if you’re in a state where it’s legal, it’s a good replacement option at a reasonable price. Just be sure to verify compatibility with your vehicle before ordering!
