This is a strange diffuser. The wick is huge and the liquid soaks up and saturates the clay cacti. In theory, it could be cool, but I literally could not detect fragrance. You could barely smell anything even up close. They definitely need to reformulate the fragrance oil or whatever it is. I guess you could make your own fragrance oil, but what a mess.I just didn't really like it. It's cute but didn't perform like I was expecting.

Received this product broken. Requested a replacement. The replacement looked like a used one and was broken in the exact same place. Loved it but can't seem to get a good one.

I love this reed diffuser set by Pretty Valley Home! The subtle smell is just right, not overpowering, yet refreshing. At first, there’s barely any scent, but with a little patience, the gypsum cactus soaks up the essence oil and slowly diffuses it throughout the air, creating a pleasant, calming atmosphere. It’s perfect for the bathroom, office, or living room, and the cactus design adds a charming decorative touch. Highly recommend!

I really do like the desert tones and the architectural structure of this gypsum and glass diffuser. It really catches one’s eye, no matter where you place it (see a couple of photos). It also comes attractively packaged (see photo), so this would make a fine gift that you can even send to your recipient directly from Amazon. The fragrance, though? I’m still on the fence about it. I do love the smell of freshly cut grass – that’s what attracted me to order this diffuser. But I’m just not getting those notes. In fact, when I first put my nose to the bottle, I was getting strong notes of fermentation – like when you open a beer vat in the middle of the brewing process. And yes, cut grass does begin to “cook” and “breakdown” very quickly after mowing, so to that extent, these notes of fermentation aren’t wrong. But that’s also not the smell that attracts most people to cut grass… you want the fresh-cut smell, not the two-hour-later smell after the cut grass has been cooking in the sun. But don’t get me wrong, it’s still an overall clean, very organic fragrance. Even the Amazon product page describes the scent as “Crisp Air” – which I think is a better description than “Cutting Grass.” But there are definitely strong undercurrents of organic notes like fermentation that I pick up. To say it’s a complex fragrance is an understatement! One additional important note on the fragrance: it’s strong. Once the gypsum cactus is saturated (which can take a few days), you will really smell the fragrance. At times, I find it overpowering and have even had to move the diffuser out of my family room just to “take a break.” I strongly recommend reserving some of the fragrance oil by pouring it into another glass bottle and just keep a smaller amount in the actual diffuser. If it’s not too strong for you, you can always add more or the rest back into the diffuser. On last tip: the cactus is packed in some foam. Please don’t try to just pull the cactus out – it is fragile and you can accidentally crack it. Instead, use a pair of scissors to cut through and loosen up the foam first so you can safely remove the cactus.

This diffuser is great! The smell is fantastic and it is super cute. It has lasted a really long time without running low and puts out the perfect amount of scent, not too strong. The only issue I had with this was the packaging was a little annoying, and it was slightly difficult to get out of the box. But packaging it not a big deal if the product is great!

This is an interesting alternative to a reed diffuser. The plastic cactus looks cute, and the entire color scheme of the diffuser is pleasant and attractive -- especially the stone ring at the base. The fragrance is rather potent for a reed diffuser, but it's enjoyable and not overwhelming. The one thing you will want to keep in mind is that the cactus is somewhat fragile. I keep this in my high school classroom, and without me knowing it a student must have been playing with it and broke the cactus. The stone ring and cactus just sit on top of the diffuser; they are firmly attached. The cactus must have fallen out and it broke when it feel on the counter. Overall, while it lasted I really enjoy this item.

This is a good set to help add some extra atmosphere to your home or office area. Not too large and it can easily be put on a desk or counter. Helps to make your area smell better or just change up the scents. I'm happy with it and have moved it around to where I feel it is needed most.
