The OEM Dell 100w is slightly larger than this and runs slightly warmer than this. While this doesn't prove that this item is actually GAN, it points highly towards it, which is good. The missing star is due to it showing up as 96W, rather than 100W, to the system. So, it is close. No compatibility issues with the Dell or Macbook Pro systems it was tested with. Doesn't appear to have any UL listing on it. So, to summarize, this is both smaller and cooler than the non-GAN Dell OEM, and works well in initial testing at basically the full wattage and charging, which makes it a reasonable value.

I’ve gone through a few replacement chargers since losing my OEM Dell one, and most of them were either cheap feeling, too light, or just sketchy. Heating up too fast or not fitting right. This one finally feels right. No cap.The shape, weight, and even the cord catch at the end are nearly identical to the real thing. It’s honestly like the original charger came back home, except now it just says “100W” where “DELL” used to be, which made me laugh a little. But hey, it works perfectly with my Dell Latitude and even came wrapped in that fresh plastic peel like something brand new off the shelf.Charging performance is solid. It brought my dead laptop back to life without breaking a sweat, though it did get a bit warm after about an hour of charging from zero. That’s normal for 100W output. Just don’t leave it buried under a hoodie or something if you’re out camping or traveling.Build quality feels good too. Not hollow or flimsy. definitely not one of those too-light-to-trust ones that feel like they'd fall apart if dropped. this one has weight to it and i’d trust it in a work bag or for daily use. Some reviewers said it doesn’t work with stuff like PS5 controllers, even though they also use USB-C. So if you’re planning to use this for something other than a laptop, maybe double check your device. For Dell laptops though, no issues at all.I like how the cord is set up too. There’s a thicker short plug to the wall and a longer, flexible USB-C cord to your device. Just like the OEM one. The little LED on the brick is a nice touch and lets you know it’s powered.Shipping was fast, packaging was clean. No weird smells, loose connections, or anything sketchy. Honestly this is one of the only replacement chargers I’ve bought that I’d actually recommend to someone else.seriously, it’s just solid. feels like the real deal, not a cheap knockoff. and the price was great.five stars all day.-c

To start, unit is very solid and well built, No cons to the build quality that i can think of. The design replicates a Dell style charger well.arguably the most important part of a chargers quality is the jacket around the usb plug, which feels solid and thick. it should hold up well. Only time will tell.it does charge any device that i have tested so far but ONE CONCERN, is that The two dell laptops I have plugged this is for testing Identify this as a 65W charger.and although I dont have any Laptops that recommend 100w charging speed, I always try to get 100W chargers to make sure I have plenty of headroom or furturproofing on my Chargers which i often use for almost any usb c chargable item i own. and I cannot verify if a larger power hungry laptop would not find this as actually 100w rated, the fact that dell's think its less, is a flag for me.with that being said, compared to an actual oem dell 65w charger, this is bigger and indeed seems to be built for more juice. But my laptops only require 45w minimum and surely would not cap out at identifying it as 65w even if more power is available.overall though the charger works well but if needing a 100w specifically, take caution

This charger showed up on a MacBook Pro system report as exactly 96 watts, which I'll take.I did not put it on my oscilloscope but when I unplugged it the power LED stayed lit for probably 30 seconds which tells me there's a lot of capacitance and should be fine. That's good enough for me to trust it.Good build quality, will charge at high speed, works well. Impressive for the price.

This charger has been a great replacement for my laptop. It works perfectly and charges quickly and reliably. I like that it's compact but still delivers the full 100W, and the USB-C connection makes it really convenient. The build quality feels solid, and it doesn’t get overly hot during use. It’s also a nice bonus that it’s compatible with multiple models, so I can use it for different devices if needed. Definitely a solid purchase—no issues at all so far.

Charges thru USB C port not the usual port; USB-C port must be made for transferring power;___Not all USB=C ports are for transferring power, luckily my Dell 2-in-1 was listed on this webpage, and when I went to Dell website to verify, there was a description of the USB-C port and it DID indicate it could handle power. Once I saw that I plugged this into my PC.___It seems to be working, so it is compatible with the model they listed (in my case). DO verify your model before ordering this.___I have to note that the "brick" that this comes with is notably lighter than other bricks of this size. That makes it particularly nice for carrying.___There is a short thick cord (3 foot +/-) between the brick and the 3 prong 110 plug, and a much thinner more flexible cord between the brick and the USB-C male end is much longer.___The thick cord feels quite durable; The thinner cable is more delicate, but that is typical of USB cords.___As others have mentioned, there is a small led light in the brick to indicate things are working.
