These have a lifetime warranty on body, replaceable jaws, US made, and good value . There is no reason to get a foreign made one for the same or more ….

Very solid and well made. Best to buy a great tool like this than to have problems with a cheap wrench. This will last for a life time.

Ridgid has always made the best pipe wrench. The teeth on the jaws are sharp and durable, allowing the wrench to bite onto the pipe or fitting without slipping. I've used Ridgid pipe wrenches in the oil fields for years and have never been disappointed with the quality and durability. And they are still made in the USA!

Great tool, but heavy. Good quality and paint finish. Made in USA. 14" Pipe Wrench opens to 2-3/4" without over extending. Used it on 1-1/2" threaded iron plumbing pipe seized / rusted connections in the house and on broken seized sink valves. Make sure to wipe it down and keep it oiled / WD-40 after messing with water pipes. Lifetime handle warranty by Ridgid and it works with a cheater pipe. If you're worried about water and rust or need something lighter to handle get the aluminum model, but then don't use a cheater.

You want to fix plumbing problems or change bathroom fixtures such as the sink faucet, this is something you might not be able to do without. Old rusted parts can be real difficult to remove, with nuts so difficult to remove that they require real plumber's tools. It's a heavy, heavy wrench. Even if you use it once, but if it enables you to do the job without calling a plumber, it will have paid for itself. That's how I look at it.

Well made and good for wheel alignments for stuck tie rods and to remove damaged rack ends.

Decided to upgrade my pipe wrenches, used cheap wrenches for twenty years and was never impressed with the overall ease of adjustment or the performance. I don’t use a pipe wrench daily but as become older I have no tolerance for tools that do not perform as intended, The extra cost of a well made tool pays for itself in not only reducing my overall irritation I also get much better results on the finished project. The Ridgid pipe wrenches are worth the extra money paid, very nice adjustment with a good bite that does not slip, very impressive tool and a good overall investment.

This wrench is nearly perfect. I got this because a wise man gave me a list- based on many years of experience- on some tools a young man should get, and this was one of them. Only Con, Some fit issues just under the bottom jaw, but it still functions flawlessly like it should, it is not a performance 1911 and will work for your pipe wrenching needs for decades to come. I also like the orange finish.

I wish I bought one of these sooner. Been an avid DIY wreckager kind of handyman around the house and at friends / family places for like seven years now, but I never had one of these. I'd always rely on hand strength or a trusty pair of pliers to do any kind of heavy lifting and twisting.Don't do that. Seriously. Just buy a pipe wrench. It's so good! I was amazed. I had to fix someones office chair and replace the hydraulic barrel thing, I've done this work before and let me tell you, it's an incredible task to remove the barrel from the wheels and chair seat. Hammering and twisting and huffing and puffing, it sucks! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Then I used the pipe wrench on it. I guess the clue is in the name, but still - it popped it straight out with no trouble, it's a fantastic force multiplier for this kind of thing. Was dubious at first, but the little ridged teeth did the trick right quick and gripped it so tight, hardly any force was needed on my part at all! Simply incredible.I can tell this thing is built to last. There are much cheaper alternatives on the market, but I've always been a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I think you could drop a bomb on this and it wouldn't even scratch the paint. It looks very well machined and high quality, even if it came off a production line it doesn't feel mass produced at all. In all honesty I'm probably going to be using it for the rest of my life. The 18 inch one is perfect for everything, I'm willing to say, but it's very heavy. You've seen video game characters swing it about like it weighs about as much as a torch, I'm guessing! Well forget that, this thing would break your arm if you swung it like that, for sure! Be aware of that, and maybe buy a smaller one or the light-weight aluminium one, if it's a concern for you.Don't be dumb like me. If you own a toolbox or a toolkit and you do odd jobs around the house, you need one of these. There's absolutely no question about it.

So I had a 14" and a 10" pipe wrench pair, made in china, bought some years ago from I don't even remember who. I recently dropped the 14" wrench from about chest height onto concrete and it snapped the moveable jaw right in half. I consider that a lucky break actually, the jaw could have snapped when I had all my weight behind it and then I might have broken my stupid moveable jaw instead, Fact is, I don't use pipe wrenches very often or I'd have replaced those wrenches long ago. As a general rule I don't buy cheap crap tools and I was kinda embarrassed to own such junk. So I tossed both wrenches in the trash and bought a pair of these wrenches to replace them. You can't really find a better pipe wrench than these wrenches from Rigid. They're made in the USA and they're no more expensive than any other quality pipe wrench. Pretty much a no brainer, BUY this wrench if you need one, you won't be disappointed and you won't have to be worrying about your stupid jaw either.
