This monitor did work well for a bit and I did enjoy not having to break out my test kit every week to check chemical levels in the pool. However, it didn't even make it through one summer. Granted, it was a hot summer here in Texas and I wonder how much of an impact 105 degree days had in absolutely baking the internals under the solar panel. I'm torn as I feel like I probably would have gotten my money's worth out of it in a single summer if you consider I saved an hour a week testing the water for about 10 weeks but it should last more than a partial summer.

Monitor was easy to setup and view from my phone. This works with Smart Life app if you are already using it for many other things. I went ahead and went through the calibration process but honestly the results I got were pretty much already what they were so you may not even need to do the calibration when you get it. It is nice being able to check my pool levels anytime I want. Only big complaint I have is that the device does not keep history of levels if you do not check in. It would be nice to be able to open up the app and see how the levels change from day to day without actually having to open the app every day to get the levels logged. Maybe I missed a setting? Also you are unable to view history of temperature at all, just the current temp. Seems like a simple missing feature. All in all I am happy with it

It totally quit working after 6 weeks. It was very inaccurate when it did work.

This tool represents a massive shift in helping monitor your pool or spa chemistry. It uses an included Zigbee hub that leverages Tuya and once you get everything set up (5-10 minutes of setup) you are good to go. The device works best if you charge it via the included USB cable for an initial charge, and once you've done that, you can place it in the water and the embedded solar panel will keep the battery charged from there. There is also included a cord so you can tether it so it stays within a certain area of the water, and there is a calibration set as well, which you may or may not need to use. I got two of these devices and one of them needed calibration while the other did not and was ready to go out of the box (verified by 1-test strip, 2-digital pool chemistry reader, and 3-digital test strip reader).

Had the unit for two days. Had to reset it twice and it was dead on day 3.

I requested this for use at my parents’ new summer vacation house, and so far, it seems to be working as advertised. Nothing complicated or issue with the apps. However, we just test-ran it literally yesterday, so I cannot comment on its longevity. If this proves to be durable through the summer and beyond, I would say it’s a good deal in terms of overall quality versus price. If any issues arise during the summer, I will update my review. So far, it seems like a decent deal.

Unit gave decent readings for 2 weeks, then became erratic, rebooted, calibrated repeatedly. Stopped functioning altogether. Contacted Amazon who initially said they would refund entire amount, then Amazon changed their mind and told me that there is a $27.00 "restocking fee"So if you LIKE PAYING RESTOCKING FEES FOR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS, BUY THIS ONE.Unit leaked and was full of water.
