This holder actually looks pretty nice. If all you were going to do is "display" a pen it'd be fine. But I had in mind that I would use it as a holder for when I wasn't actively writing...then just pick up my pen and use it when needed. The problem is that the holder/stand is very light, so you can't just "grab" the pen. The stand wants to move around and I end up either needing to use both hands or getting the pen with one hand and then having to put the stand back where it belongs. For my purposes it was just honestly more trouble that it's worth.

I use fountain pens for most of my writing, and I frequently have one or more on my desk within easy reach. While a pen tray is functional and gets the job done, once in a while it is nice to have a stand that puts the pen I'm using on display. I selected this pen stand for that exact purpose, and I am very pleased with it. It's a nice pen stand.This is a clear acrylic pen stand that is made from three separate pieces, glued together to make a nice stand that can accommodate pens of almost any usable size. It keeps a pen upright but at a sufficient angle that it doesn't fall over. It's very clear and really emphasizes the pen it's holding instead of drawing attention to itself, though under bright light the edges can sparkle a little, particularly on the base.There is absolutely no visible glue on this stand anywhere. It's very clearly glued together, but the assembly was done exceptionally well such that even looking directly where the pieces have been attached, I can see no adhesive. Also, though I can see the seams where the parts were attached, they feel smooth to the touch. Some real care went into making this stand. It's sufficiently well-made and attractive that it will work for photography projects as well.I am very pleased with this pen stand, and it sits on my desk in my office where it gets daily use. It looks great and it was made very well.

I love that this acrylic pen holder does not draw any attention away from my pen. I ordered this specific holder because I wanted the pen I display to be very prominent and visible, and this pen holder does just that! The clear acrylic allows for maximum visibility, and I like that it is raised and tilted at an angle. It requires no assembly. Be mindful that it will pick up your fingerprints, but even so, it is still pretty clear!

This is the best vertical pen stand that I have in my collection. Although I prefer to keep my pens horizontal, I need soomething to keep the pens vertical every once in awhile. Especially after refilling, sometimes it works better to keep the pen vertical awhile before use. It brings ink into the feed. Anyway, a lot of vertical pen stands are not long enough to support the pen without wobbling, or they were made for something else and are not long enough. This one is perfect because it supports the whole pen so there is no chance of it falling out of the stand, and it has a cool modern look to it. Note that one side of the vertical stand is longer than the other, but that doesn't alter its effectiveness in anyway. Now, I just need to order another one for my house!
